So some people might know, I am thinking of buying a PS3 or a 360, but I can't seem to decide which one to get. I am no fanboy and I hate them, can't get straight answer from those bags of douche.

So here the things I like and hate about both console

PS3:
+
+Blue Ray disk (hey 50 gig on a disk is a lot)
+No on-line fee to play
+Home seems nice enough
+Doesn't seem to brake yet
+Wi fi
+PS2 legacy (yeah I've already have a ps2 and ps2 games, but ps2 show sign of old age)
-Game are still no where to be seen yet
-Finding on-line game seems a little rubbish
-Sony change their strategy like each day so it's hard to follow them
-Lost of a lot of exclusivities
-No freaking rumble inside the controller that seems to become cheaper

360
+Game line up is awesome
+More people that I know have a 360 (easier to find friend and play with them)
+On-line gaming seems to be quite good with live
+Controllers are liek 100x better than those from the original xbox
-Paying for live on a monthly or yearly basis
-DVD player (9gig top for a game)
-Seems to brake every too often
-Hate M$ like shit

So if I missed some things that you know and could share with me to help me without starting a flame war of fanbots, that would be super.

I can still wait but I'm tired as hell to config my PC to play and still it crashes too often (4 years old).

So thanks
I'm feeling goodly right now..

The lineup is looking better on the x360 imo.

But the xbox 360 failure rate is... well.. concerning ( 30-33% ). No problem with mine yet ( fingers crossed ).
I'm feeling g.r.i.m.e.y. right now..

Ok let's see :

Right now, if you really want good games, XBOX 360

If you want to wait : At least for this winter or the end of fall. Ps3 will worth it, with a lots of good games.

I like the new controller pad of the PS3 but no rumble, it does suck ass.

If you want good graphics : For now it's the 360 that owns. I've played couple of sports game on the Ps3 and the 360 version is way better. But...since ps3 is new...I would say next year will be a good years for sony.

But I'm a bit scared that the ps3 will do the same thing like the dreamcast and a old console that I've just forgot the name, 3dO neo-geo or whatever or a thingy like that. What I'm scared of is that since they've lost a lot of exclusivity and the price is very high, that it could be the end of ps3.
Remember Dreamcast : A bloody good console, it's a very good entertainment system. Powerful and the graphics for that time was very great ( better then N64 and playstation ) But even if they were the best, they've failed because of what is more popular and because Sega did lost a lots of exclusivithings.

I suggest you to wait a bit before buying the consoles.
I prefer ps3. But if you want good stuff and now, I will go for the X-BOX 360.
But personnally, I'll buy a Wii !
I'm feeling super mega special a right now..

If you don't have an 1080p 2000$+ TV, if you don't like RPG, if you're an online gamer, if you're a fan of sports games.
Go for the 360 ! ( you can easily connect it to the computer so, you don't have to pay 100$ for 20 more gig.. Just link it to the computer and you have ..... unlimited space ! I was a fan of playstation.. before 360

360 ftw

it really depends on what types of games you like.. sure, xbox has 100's of games already on the market, but yet, all those games are like clones of eachother. They are all first person shooter type games that i am sure you could already find on your home PC. PS3 offers still a few exclusive games such as FF13 + GT to name the most popular.

BlueRay is the next gen of technology in CD developement meaning that microsoft is most certainly in the works in making another console to top-up to the PS3.

I picked up the PS3 for FF13 only. and to me, its enough.

its not always about quantity, but quality !!!
I'm feeling like vincenzo right now..

isn't GT going to be on 360 also?

I thought they bought it because there is not enough PS3 sold actually... so no money to make if your releasing a game on a console that is not popular enough...

I would say 360 for the games... and I heard the online community is great :P (what sony want's to do looks amazing but... I will belive it when I see it.)
I'm feeling besoin de vacance right now..

I like many genre of game, prefer FPS, but I'm used to the freaking mouse! I've played GR advance Warfare and it wasn't bad playing with a controller.

Like RPG
HAck n slah
racing game
arcade game
FPS (the most)
sports game

Well I like almost any type of game, depends on the story and what you can do.

but I hate (really) that 360 makes you pay for online gaming and it's only a DVD...

Still I think I'm going to wait, should invest my 500$ for 6 month and do a bit more $ :D

And yes I'll have a 1080p HDTV also!
I'm feeling goodly right now..

" I'll miss FF "

Well, the CREATOR of final fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi, left Sony and is making Xbox 360 exclusive games now... RPG's.

No, I'm sorry, but the xbox 360 lineup right now is just too much.

And I have both consoles.

And yes... Halo 3.
I'm feeling g.r.i.m.e.y. right now..

Halo 3 doesn't even makes me wanna have a 360, I don't know WAY over hype for my taste, I've only played the first one, tried the second in MP, didn't really liked it...

still the story looks nice, but would have to play the second one to follow the third IF I buy a 360 ;)

would like to have both. but that will never happen...

You have RPGs on the 360, Resident Evil 5 is coming for the 360 as well. I was a big ps2 fan (btw, stating that you hate M$ makes you a fanboy of some kind, jojo :P)

As for the failure rate, don't worry, since July 5th, all consoles have a 3 year warranty for hardware failure related to the common x360 death that's been happening. A friend of mine had the "ring of death" on his x360 and had a new one within a month.

The way you have to see this is...

PS3 will have a lot more imports but no online features.
X360 will have a lot more actions games, mostly North American releases but so far most games are worth playing. Games like Dead Rising and Oblivion will take months off your life. The online features = uber awesome.

Oblivion will however be on the PS3, though with no online feature yet (which means, no pathc/expansions).

Really, I think the issue, as far as games go, is whether you prefer having many types of games or you prefer online content.

As for what Shindy said, many companies are going to the x360 now... even Konami and their Metal Gear Solid are slowly going that way.

Hell, as I said, I was a rabid PS2 fanboy and I really, really hated the X-Box but I've got a x360. At some point in my life I had to realize that even bad companies can make good gaming consoles :D
I'm feeling quixotic right now..

HEHEHE I was talking about Microsoft with their COmputer stuff, you know I'm right it is crap ;)

anyway what bothers me the most is the dvd drive, the break down, I know they now have a 3 years old warranty, but shit losing your console for a week or more is like not having sex :D

but then again knowing a lot of people with a 360 is fun and better.

DAMN IT'S HARD

still, the new chipset for 360 is due out when?
I'm feeling goodly right now..

X-Box: Only US games, EA, Ubi and etc.. No Japanese games at all (except FFXI, the online game released 3-4 years ago). There won't be a lot of Japanese game ever on this console. 360 sales in Japan are very very very low.
PS3: US Games + Japanese games, so RPG, weird funny games and shits. The PS2 compatibility isn't a big deal, most of the games won't be as nice as on a PS2. The machine's quite new, but it's a best machine on the market ever. When games will take full advantage of the cells processors, your sex life will become useless!
Moi je vais m'acheter un PS3 quand FFXIII va sortir, avant ça, boff, j'su bien avec mon PS2 pis ma Wii! :)
I'm feeling cool right now..

I saw a thread from a game programer and don't remember where it was like that kind of comments : Selon eux, cette console est une plateforme trop complexe à programmer par rapport à la Xbox 360.

( désolé si c'est long )
