 Coolness: 152980 | ubi pays 9 bucks an hour, while the same tester at ea is paied 15 ...
and ubi allways have impossible deadlines, thats why thier games are allways bugged to death i know peoples that are working for ubi for a long time, and i worked there too the thing with ubi is they try to have a good image, they dont 'force' you to do overtime, but if you refuse they will not hire you again, they pay 9$ hour wich is way less than what you need to live, but since everyone there are goth/metal nerds who never fucked in thier lives, and lives at thier parents, they dont complain... they do pay for overtime, and gives fruits baskets to testers, but there are like 10 on 500 people who have and steady job there(testers i mean), the rest is all on contracts try and get a mortgage, tell them you work 9$ hour on montly contracts... they will laugh in your face... thats not what i consider good job conditions, but its still not slavery.... |

IF you just test and do nothing else, of course they won't hire you back. And THAT team, with the leads we had? They were assholes. But then I've worked on Farcry Predator and lemme tell you... night and day. Totally different atmosphere. Sadly, you don't get to choose your leads. It still beats flipping burgers. To be honest, I did not hang out with a lot of people there... There was a limited circle of people with who I talked but I knew most of them before going to work there and I did not stay to long... But the new people I meet there were really nice :) |
