I was quoting Moondancer. Update » Haha wrote on Mon Sep 25, 2006 @ 12:05pm This one: "I'm vegetarian cause I can't stand the thought of eating somethign that died in excruciating pain, similarly I can't stand the thought of wearing something that died in excruciating pain. I don't get how anyone could feel CLEAN wearing the product of a bloody gut-ripping rampage. I mean, at least have some dignity.".

Hypocrite? I wasn't accusing anyone of anything so hypocrite certainly can't apply. I spoke only of myself. How did I know someone would accuse me of preaching no matter what I wrote. Live and let live. Update » moondancer wrote on Mon Sep 25, 2006 @ 12:07pm although I did accuse people who wear fur as beign dirty and dignity-less, I didn't bash meat. |

Live and let live. Your entire "excruciating pain" bit is exactly you accusing people. If I follow what you wrote, if I enjoy leather jackets, for instance, then I am unclean; one without dignity who enjoys the fact that animals have died in pain to give me the jacket in question. If that isn't an accusation, or at the very least, a profoundly extreme judgement.... Although, that wasn't my point. I was replying to this part: "I'm vegetarian cause I can't stand the thought of eating something that died in excruciating pain". I responded that the vegetables you eat also suffer. And guess what? They're also farmed for the specific purpose of being eaten! But THAT is all right? I don't mean to go to the ridicule level of suggesting you to live on vitamins and minerals alone but what I AM infering is that you cannot use seffering as arguement to vegetarianism. All living beings suffer and die in order for you to survive. You can be vegetarian because you prefer hurting plants rather than animals. I mean, they make for less cuddly pets. We all have our degree of cruelty. But to state that one is while another isn't? THAT is hypocrisy.

The diffrence is that plants don't scream and can't look at you as you cut them and drink their blood.
Personaly I find the excruciating pain makes the meat taste better!

A headless chicken running around. Now THAT is a meal! I torture my lettuce needlessly. I'm that cruel. I can imagine its invisible eyes and its lettuce mouth going, "nooooooo" as I stab my fork into its head.

I'd imagine that if I ever turned vegitarian, it wouldn't be because I loved animals, but because I hate vegetables.

I did not tell anyone else what they should do nor did I blame my personal discomforts on anyone else. I know that plants die for my benefit too but that does not make me uncomfortable, if it did make me uncomfortable I'd be a hyporcrite but it doesn't, also if I told someone else not to eat meat I'd be a hypocrite but I didn't. On the question of you being unclean, I persoanally would consider you unclean in one aspect, you can consider that an accusation if you want. Don't accuse me of makign accusations after makign a statement about MYSELF. And for god's sakes I don't need to hear any arguments about why I shouldn't be vegetarian, after a few years you get to hear them all. |

Being hypocrite IS not caring about one type of suffering while speaking against another type of suffering. Once again, you make no sense. You SHOULD feel uncomfortable about ANY type of suffering, or else you ARE hypocrite. How hard is it to understand?
I'm not telling you not to be vegetarian. I'm telling you that your arguement against meat eaters / wearers is full of shit. Update » Haha wrote on Mon Sep 25, 2006 @ 2:26pm Statements about ONESELF do not generally include insults to those who don't follow your path. If they do, they're accusations.

Anyway. PETA kills animals. Update » Haha wrote on Mon Sep 25, 2006 @ 2:35pm And Betty. We do have choices. I choose to eat meat. I don't see why that makes me such an inhumane monster. We've been doing it since forever. Update » Haha wrote on Mon Sep 25, 2006 @ 2:36pm The radiation: that is what made me a monster. The radioactive insect, the gamma and cosmis rays.

hey oooooo la! i didn't say to anybody who eat meat that they were monster... but yeah i think that is very monstruous to kill animals for wearing their fur.. i just don't understand..we think that leatherface is a monster for wearing humans skin..but me i see no difference with someone who put on a skin of a death animal..
all the new syntetique materials make a good job. and i think that food is part of an other debat... and yeah...that's what i wrote if you are reading good my last post...i repeat..: humans have choices.
