 Coolness: 685600 | I thought the movie was awesome... How did you not like it... It was kinda like Terror Firmer but more funny... :)
The reason that I didn't like it too much is that it was suposed to be a movie in the Return of the Living Dead series, but it absolutely didn't feel like one. The 3rd one was at least closer to the original 2 than this one for the vibe that the movies are suposed to have, which I found strange because it WAS kind of similar to the first (kids bored, party in a cemetary, dead come back to life, etc) but at the same time was too.. I dunno, clean and modern. The zombies weren't as entertaining also. is House of Dead worse than this?
I NEED MY ZOMBIES FIX House of the Dead is WAY WORSE. If someone offers to pay you to watch house of the dead, kick their ass for insulting your inteligence so much. You Bowl deserves public execution for what he did to zombie movies. Worse than Children of the Living Dead and Zombie Rednecks combined. |

 Coolness: 93110 | trey, house of the dead sucked so bad, that they actually encorporated scenes from the video game in the hopes of making the ultimate connection between the gamer and movie watcher... but the graphics were so bad, it just made the movie look that much worse... all and all, its definately one of those movies where at the end u feeling nothing but ultimately cheated out of a couple of hrs of your life...

The zombies eating brains thing comes from the Return of the Living Dead serries. They explain it that there's a chemical in your brain that takes away the pain of being dead (rigor mortis, feeling yourself rot, those kinds of things..) Also, the RotLD zombies were fast and inteligent to a degree. They could run and tackle you, and were smart enough to use an ambulance radio to call in backup so that they could get more food. The slow zombies are originaly from the Romero movies, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (NOT the 2002 remake), Day of the Dead and Land of the Dead. The "explanation" was that, whatever was re-animating the corpses was also just managing to re-animate the most basic brain functions, which deep down is our instinct to eat, so the zombies would just look around for anything that wasn't one of their own to chow down on. |

honestly i think it was the 1st night of the living dead great movie, horrific yet truthful portrayal of how shit humanity is 2nd best just for kicks would have to be braindead aka dead/alive Night of the Living Dead is great, but I'd have to say my #1 is the first Return of the Living Dead. I tend to like "party" horror in general (party horror = kids + bored + somewhere to party they aren't supposed to go + drugs/beer/nakedness + Something Evil) Second for sure is Dead Alive, 'cause it's another one that doesn't take itself TOO seriously, and manages to walk the line of being horror and comedy and entertaining without becoming so stupid it's bad. |

| Coolness: 685600 | ^^That's actually the reason that Day of the Dead is my favorite out of the serries.. It's bleak as hell, well into the invasion, and there really isn't any hope in sight anymore, just a bunch of people in denial that they're probably some of the last humans alive.. I just love zombies :P As long as it's good, most horror can be split so much by genre (slasher, monster, zombie, vampire, ghost story, satan, etc) and then again split into serious/fun for each type.. |
