They get your info from one of two places: the emergency contact on your health insurance file, or they get it from the person that you're admitted with. Considering that she didn't have her health card with her, nor an address, why do you think it would be so unusual for them to ask the person she came with to help contact someone?
She was unconscious and strapped to an immobilisation board, and I was instructed to contact family as quickly as possible. Generally that warrants a certain amount of attention. I don't even know why I'm bothering to argue this, other than to show other people what real friends do for each other in an emergency. Maybe you could learn a thing or two. Why is this such an unbelievable leap of faith? Noah- not funny. |
