THE VINYL BURNER IS GARBAGE!!!

it's an incredibly hard peice of equipment to use, it certainly hasn't been perfected to a tee yet, and is definetly not for home use, it's too damn un-reliable and expensive, vinyls don't get cut right quite often...

still, i'd take it if it was offered to me, hells yeah,
i tried final scratch, cool concept, fun to play with, but it's for lackey's who want to feel like they are REALLY djing while NOT EVEN using cd's they go one step further to use mp3's
but still, if i was offered or a millionaire, i'd take it, why not??? it would save me buying a vinyl cutter

bag of shut up: if you are going to insult neoform it has to have something to do with music.
Otherwise I click 'delete'

sound quality can be best on vinil :

cd are 4,1khz 'sampling' rate , thats mean the 'resolution' of the sound , its like takin a 'picture' of the sound 41000 times per second at 16-bit , and to get the full audible frequency range (20hz to 20khz) it would need 20bit .... anyways i dont want to got in too much detail anways my poor english dont allow me to . Analog have an infinite resolution and can handle full frequency range. BUT its not all records who have that quality , the recording most be interely done with ultra hi-fi analogue equipement and playback with equivalent quality sound system . You can find special ''audiophile records'' in specialised store .

heh, audiophiles spend too much on sound quality when their ears have most likely been damaged too much by loud noises for them to audibly notice a difference..

Yeah, it probably mentioned meth.

And Ian, even if you can't hear them, the brain gets affected by them and the overall sound is better. It's like sub-harmonics and super-high frequencies that we can't hear. They still have an effect on the listening experience and by how much better the sound of the music is, even if you can't "hear" it.

At the love parade in berlin every year there is a group of deaf people that unite in front of the biggest speakers to dance to the vibrations of the music

They stimulate parts of the brain. Don't make me look for the studies, it'll take too long, and the stereophile crowd has already accepted it. If people are going to spend 12000$ on a speaker that plays frequencies they can't hear, they have good reason for it.

here's a music based opinion: djneoform has no authority on the subject of sound, or music.

virtually no experience in the real world of electronic music, combined with perhaps the most abhorrently debased selection of de-intellectualizing tracks - all that covered in the shit-sauce of him pirating the music he plays and not even acknowledging the efforts of those who work so hard to make such shitty music.

Fist off, i'd just like to say thanks to Paul for standing by me in the begining of this topic.

Second off, its not what you use but how you use it. Vinyle is great, it sounds good, you have a closer feel of where your song is and it takes a hell of a lot more practice to get it down straight. It also includes Djs suporting the artists that they like and spin.

On the flip side, Cd's are really great too. Its much less manual then vinyles, the sound is a little less warm like people say, but it's much clearer in the MID section (cool way of sayiny it huh?? lol) So yeah, the mids really stick out more and in psycadelik music the mids are most important.

So my little moral is that if you choose to use Cd's (like me) buy your music, NEVER mix using Mp3 quality because there IS a quality loss no matter how high you incode it.

On a more personal matter, i also mix using vinyle, so its not like i'm closed minded, although my phrasing tends to be a bit off due to lack of constant practice with them. I like CD's a hole lot better, not really for the sound quality but mostly because you get more songs for your money's worth.
