| It makes sense for the media NOT to report suicides....hearing about suicides all the time might prompt already depressed people to do it, kinda like what happened with all the copycat school shootings in the U.S. |

| there use to be a red phone in all metros with some ugly publicity drawing next to it that urged people to call if they suspected someone was about to commit suicide or something... it said "la personne vous semble agitée? déprimée? elle pleure?" but they took them away. maybe because kids overused it as a joke. but i think it's because they were afraid it would give more people the brillant idea of stoping all traffic and ending paralised in a hospital bed by attempting suicide this way. cos yeah. most of the time it doesn't work because the person throws himself too late or... too soon. (then it just goes "bam!" on the front of the metro and bumps on the other side of the railway. HA! and then it probably hits bunch of people that were just standing there waiting for the train to come. so sad.) |

| If you see someone walking around alot, fumbling with their things or clothes, looking nervous are signs that someone may jump. Usually a person sits around a bit, not taking the metro whenever it comes. But no one really notices these things cause everyone else is in a rush to go somewhere. |

But the reality of it, ontop of making HUNDREDS of people late for wherever they're trying to go, jumping infront of a metro is a very UNEFFECTIVE, and inconsiderate way to end your life. Its a fact, that most people who jump infront of metros end up as paraplegics. |

| Je pense que ceux qui sautent devant le metro ne veulent pas necessairement se suicider mais juste lancer un signal dalarme au autres parce que la grande majorité du temps ca marche jamais!. Tout cela est pour faire reagir et faire voir que OUI cette personne la a besoin daide et elle va lavoir laide necessaire en faisant ca! ..en 2 k... je pense |
