Pros: Sick location, awesome people, amazing sound, good decorations, fireshow multiple times, 3 day event, rickams set on friday (you should upload a mix to this site), talamasca, the sun and no rain, the fog in the morning which was insane, swimming, building a sand castle on the beach, meeting a million people I have not seen in a while, richard the viking, free wood for fire, seeing like 100 camp fires going in the distance, free water, andre from psychonaut packing up his stand early and deciding to party and about everything else which was not mentioned. Cons: Some people complained there was no Eclipse Compilation CD for sale, at least 4 people asked me if one existed and I was like I have no idea and then they would ramble on how they never heard such good music. About 5% of the dance zone was uneven so while dancing you occasionally had a bad step, this was easilly solved by dancing about 1 foot away from bad spots... |

A wonderful weekend, it was worth every penny (for those that tought it was too expensive)... Can't wait to see pictures, I ad unfortunatly forgotten my camera, and biy was I kicking myself in the head when I saw that incredible sunrise with the fog over the water, like WOW!!!! I hope they can recreate the same magic next year!!! |

 Coolness: 47300 | Great festival, well-organized, perfect weather (aside from some cold), wonderful crowd, and that lovely beach... I was very impressed with most of the music I heard, even though I only arrived around dawn on Saturday... I feel like I've fallen into some weird parallel dimension any time I hear someone say they liked Dino's sets. I think I'll skip the explanation just so I don't start any negative energy here. There seemed to be a consensus on Tetraktys/Motion however, as I didn't find anyone who was too impressed with that set... a surprise, actually, because I really enjoy the work of both projects at home. Found it a bit lacking for a festival experience, even early in the evening. Quality production no doubt, but it couldn't keep me moving. Midi Miliz live is something I had waited a while to see and I wasn't let down - now that's a live show! Too many psytrance artists don't seem to do anything live whereas Midi Miliz doesn't fuck around. Excellent set, and then the Delta slaughtered everyone with those insanely heavy beats... didn't find all this stuff too much fun to dance to (not always enough hooks to get your whole body into it, see?) but musically I was very satisfied. I got way cold after the Delta and had to bail to my tent but thanks to the killer sound, caught all of Talamasca's relentlessly excellent morning set later on. Wish I could have been there but I had no sleep all weekend and was too worn out. I hope someone brings Lestat back for another festival next year because that was some seriously great vibes I was sensing from over the hill! I should also mention the music on Saturday - the chill tunes were EXCELLENT... hearing some classics from Vibrasphere really put a smile on me, and Adham Shaikh's live set was top notch - intricate and beautiful. Nivoc's set wasn't as fun as when I heard him on the boat cruise here in T.O. a few weeks back but I still enjoyed :) the live percussion alongside Zen's set was reeeeally nice to hear, as was the free jam drum session during the day - be sure to do that again next year! Last word on the music - Dimitri Nakov really surprised me with an excellent high energy set after Talamasca. I was expecting TIP World cheeze and top 40 garbage but was nicely surprised by all sorts of wicked tracks... there were a few in there that really blew my mind - sounded like some new stuff from Dado or something, ever-changing, full of wicked hooks and melodies. I'll have to keep an ear out as I scan the new releases this summer :) overall, I was very fulfilled by this festival - it was easily the best trance festival I've ever attended. See you next yr! |

| Coolness: 509505 | Oh yeah! This was most def the best rave I have ever been to. The music was relentlessly impressive and yet not repetitive at all. The people there were amazing... thank you people, you really do make the parties what they are. Besides if I wasn't afraid of falling asleep instantly, I might have closed my eyes and just moved to the beats that the excellent disc jokey's and producers laid out on our aural plane. The decorations were so cool and VERY fun to look at ;). My only complaint is that the music was so good, I got tired too quickly (9 hours goes by so fast). My pictures will be up shortly, there are over 100! Anyway thanx again Tech Safari and everyone who took pictures and in fact anyone even slightly involved.... you guys MADE my summer.

 Coolness: 34345 | Drove up from London, ON for this party, and it was well worth the drive! Everything about this party was top notch. Cheers to Eclipse for throwing down what I would consider the absolute best party Canada has to offer!! I took some pics, although they didn't all turn out as good as hoped.
