no i didnt say anything... |
|
Coolness: 339805
| wow, it's IDENTICAL to firefox. so gay. firefox mozilla should sue em, just cause that's what MS would do in their position.... |
|
Coolness: 131830
| all the browsers getting identical... opera, firefox, ie, maxthon, avantbrowser and another million... i couldnt try ie cuz i dont have a valid xp key :( |
|
Coolness: 339805
| the tabs in IE look retarded though. |
|
Coolness: 159260
| Well considering you need a valid XP key AND Service Pack 2 AND looks and does exactly like Firefox...
...why on earth would I possibly need IE 7 ?
And the answer is : I don't, not even remotely. Why ? IE has been causing me a shitload of trouble in the past which has never occured with Firefox. So screw IE. |
|
Coolness: 339805
| i find it crazy that MS is doing that whole "let's validate everyone's key everytime they try to do anything related to MS" bullshit.
i sure hope the mainsteam public is going to start getting as annoyed as i am with MS.. because if they don't soon they're going to be "renting" windows for their computer.. think of it, a $20/month fee to use windows.. as soon as you stop paying, you can't use your computer any more. :| it makes me fucking sick. |

| Microsoft is out with a new IE7 logo...
|
|
Coolness: 131830
| "Hopefully, by now you’ve seen from our posts that there are a lot of new features and work going into IE 7. As part of this update, we’re refreshing our icon and logotype. We considered more radical departures from our current logo, but blue “e” with the ring is very recognizable and familiar to users, so we elected instead to make more subtle changes.
As you can see, the new “e” has more modern look, and the edges are a bit darker so the icon stands out better against different backgrounds. We liked the gold ring too since it brings in new energy and helps the icon pop a bit more than the old one. This icon and text treatment will be used on the versions of IE 7 for Windows XPSP2, Server 2003 SP1, and x64 versions. We’ll have a slightly different look for the Windows Vista™ version, one that’s more consistent with the icons there. We’re not quite ready with that one yet, but we’ll share it here once we do." |

| let me guess they STOLE THE TAB Idea? pfff what a fucken bunch of posers |
|
Coolness: 685730
| Yeah, everyone who steals ideas like that deserves death. Opera's had tabbed browsing since the first release in 1996. All y'all are just copying. |
|
Coolness: 339805
| yeah, MS should be killed for copying apple's windowing system! |
|
Coolness: 685730
| Windows 95 = Apple 84 |
|
Coolness: 339805
| It's kinda funny that Microsoft does that whole dating their OS's like that, given that they release new OS's every what.... 5 years?
Apple churns em out every year and a half, yet all it get's is a point release.. :P (i wonder what happens after 10.9?) |
|
Coolness: 92405
| apple stole it first.. |
|
Coolness: 92405
| the "windowing" system that is |
|
Coolness: 92405
| nothing for either systems can be credited to either companies, except hardware. it all comes from poor innovators who were stupid and sold their shit for nothing. you name it, they both stole it. so bleh. |
|
Coolness: 339805
| they didn't steal it from xerox by the way, xerox had a nice deal with apple and allowed their people to come in to xerox and were given a nice demo of it. PLUS xerox never had any interest in the technology, and would soon after cancel the project.
i dunno about you, but if i was invited in and shown the inner workings of a doomed project, i don't think making my own version of it would be considered "stealing it". |
|
Coolness: 92405
| I didn't mean literally stealing, it was some no-body's who wanted to sell it to xerox and xerox thought it was useless so they didn't care. Bill Gates stole it by making a deal with Apple also, they let him see the inner workings of their technology, and then he fucked them over. Apple bought their first O.S off some basement nerd for 2g or 5g, and made millions off it. The mouse system also came from those xerox people. Apple had it all first but they didn't invent any of it either, they weren't as back-handed as Bill Gates, true, but credit can't be given to either of them either way for inventing any of that... cause they didn't. |
