Yeah, pretty much everyone here's a DJ. :)

I still have " Higher State of Consciousness " in vinyl.

Freakishly enough, I have way more old school stuff than that : consider
> House Master Boyz - House Nation
> Kraftwerk - Tour de France 12 inch
> Divine - Native Love

Hey, shot in the dark here but anybody here knows who chicago's Hip House DJ Fast Eddie is ? I'm wondering if I'm the only guy in this province who's ever heard of him.

Talking about -Don't Laugh-, the last DJ Funk release on Pro-Jex called "Laugh" uses lots of sample of the original track. Pretty cool, whith ghetto touch à la DJ Funk of course.

Gak tried to mix both, the 95 original with the Funk one, was fun to hear the difference (and the pressing!!! Oh god...the 95 sounds so so bad, no bass, poor high...ouch)

yeah seb... it does sound bad indeed compared to the release on Pro-jex.
the best would be to have a locked groove playing on a third turntable to give a little bit of kick to this crazy track...

"Mohogany Roots" - HardFloor....

Oh yeaaaaaah!! hardfloor, king of the 303 for sur, for so many years. After they started to use the overdrive pedal to distort the 303, every producers started to use the distortion pedal too.

I missed Megabyte that day cause I was working the next day and I was too much into Hardfloor back then.

Today is different though. I've smashed my head on a concrete all so many times, I lost count ( and consciousness ).

I have a few CDs from Hardfloor, they are my favorite duo of all times. And I'm a proud owner of [ www.k7.com ] - Jack The Box, mixed by Hardfloor.

Pure unadulterated old school joy.
