 Coolness: 38725 | well I went and I had a blast there. Yes, it is expensive, although the tix started at 60 bucks, if u ever go to Aria to see djs that's a deal considering how many were there.
I agree that u can't judge people's reasons for being there, and u can't say what the vibe is like if you've never been (if you've gone and hated the vibe, feel free to diss it). I thought the "vibe" was great, people were really happy and friendly, and I found some people who were being fun and playful. I presonally like parties with a theme because it makes it more playful, there were many people dressed up in crazy outfits like ballerina skirts and stuff. Yes, there were a lot of people wearing cheesy sexy outfits too, but I don't let them bother me. I met some cool people, and I went with a bunch of friends who were there to have a good time and enjoy a slightly different scene. Being surrounded by over 10,000 partiers is a chaotic, frenzied atmosphere, but its fun to try at least once. being on the speakers looking over that crowd was a real trip. Saying people go to the white ball just to get fucked up on drugs... people do that at every party (and the tam tams, at concerts, in bars, in parks.....) just as there are people there for the music, the people, etc. at any party. With that many well-known djs, I'm sure many people came for them, I know some who decided to go because they wanted to see a particular dj and figured, hey, why not see them and a bunch more too while I'm at it? the lineups are annoying but it really didn't take that long to get to the bathroom, I've had worse experiences at small parties where they just had 3 toilets that all got blocked half way thru the night, and no t.p. all night. It's true they could definitely improve a few things that would make it much better, and it is a big money maker, but i don't regret going. I've been to small, med and large parties, some that made lots of money and some that lost money, and I've encountered both good and bad scenes in all of them. There is no underground anymore, any jerk who wants to get fucked up and hit on girls can go on ravewave and find a small "underground" party and go ruin someone's night. PS) You can wear whatever u want to it, but the more people wear white the trippier it is to be in the crowd, IMO. |

 Coolness: 69345 | i went to celebration once(which is almost the same to me) and i found the crowd was wicked. people so friendly and stuff. i like the muscle men and fake boobed women, good eyecandy 4 the night ;)
i personally think the price is ridicilous, but it fun to go once in ur lifetime. the memory i have of seeing countless people dancing from the stands at the bell center to be a priceless memory to me....1 of the best memories of my life |

HaHaHa! |
