I don't judge, I don't bitch, I don't laugh @ how people dance, I dance the way I want to and don't care what others think and I'm friendly with everybody.

If you want the vibe to come back, you got start by working on yourself.

And I also agree with what Mico! said.

I know exacly what do you mean smurf....In 2000-01 and before, afters-hours(Aria,Sona,Stereo) was ``underground`` clubs and I really enjoyed this time; a lots af ravers, people with ligthsticks, social people, good djs. And the last time I go there at Aria last Sept(of course I quit that for raves in 2002 but just for the trip) I was really disapointed, the place changed a lot...people too but I Talked to a guy inside and he said that place was an awesome place, I felt the opposite way. But each time I go in a rave its my ``awesome place``,I can feel free. Dont think im a clubber, I love techno music and raves and I will never return to an after-hour...exept for infected mushroom and Sven Vath.
Sorry for my very bad english...but im sure u understand my point.
PLUR TABARNACK!!

anyways, I think the underground scene will stay alive. People change, musik change, but the need to celebrate life will always stay.

But at the same time, i've been partying by myself alot lately (because my old crew sucks balls). And I find that the "vibe" you get all comes down to the people you spend your time with.

If you hang arouind jaded people, or focus your energy on how 'un-pluristic' things have become, then ofcourse, it become exactly that.

What i'm trying to say, is that my perception on the decline (or the oposite) of the scene is based on what you want (or think) you see.

I've been partying for about 3-years, and i've been through some up's and downs in this scene, but I see the potential... because I want to.

[ www... ] to sentimental)

Bang on.

I think alot of people come to the rave scene for the first time with a very innocent (maybe even naive) mindset. And viewed from such a perspective, every party can seem like a magical event.

But after time and exposure to some of the less than positive elements of the scene (comepeting crews/promoters, drug abuse, etc) than one's innocence quickly fades, and a negative attitude towards the scene can develop.

Its not that those less than positive elements weren't there during the "good old days", its just that you didn't see them because back then you were a different person.

yeah , i say we get our shit together and do 2 parties a month always with combining promotors collaborations everywhere, combine all parties, big ones at the end of the month medium in the middle, that's the way it'll be awesome everytime, not this divided up bullshit because i like this and you like that-you guys are stupid,
whatever my two cents.............

a rave is everyone going right!!!!!!!
because if i'm wrong we got a serious problem, if you have me as one of a scenes promotors...

Can we agree that after 1 year the naiv part of one's idea of the rave scence is gone? If agreed, can we go further in saying that once that is gone, the next 5 years can be observed with an almost identical point of view (of course, ppl change in 5 yrs, but the naiv part is gone). So can that person believe his statement is valid (to himself, at least) about how he felt the scene went downhill?

I'm not saying its awfull now. I'm just saying that to me, it lost its charm for various reasons.
