well i think you can help not judging them. i mean, if you know you're a nice person and they're only making comments on the way you look because they don't even know you, don't take it so personally. if you think you look fine then just brush it off.
i don't think i judge those kids much coz my school is a building of 700 of those kids, and i know that the ones who know me, know that i'm not just a stupid druggie who wears bracelets til her elbows, the way i know they're not all spoiled brats who drive to clubs in their shit-boxes with mad stereos. |

No but seriously, the best thing to do is to avoid problems...before they occur. So I guess if you don't like being made fun of, don't dress that way... It's also true what one of you said that it depends on what area you're in and what people you are dealing with. People in the west island may be a little close minded but the fact that they have money and can afford a BMW, or let alone live in that area, doesnt make them bad people. |

| well I wouldn't tell someone to not dress a way so they can avoid being made fun of by some people. I'd say though to expect some people to look at you weird if you are wearing 1000 fruity bracelets and funfur. Especially if you are a guy :) |

No matter how much any of you hate superficiality, it will always be a part of society. It's how humans are. We look at a flower, "awwwww, thats pretty", but if you touch it, you die.
We look at animals "wow, what a beautiful animal", but get to close, it kills you.
It's how we are.
Now, at least some of us have open minds to explore further, without relying on first impressions. It's like (hi scottyp), listening to one song an album and saying the whole album isn't good. And I agree with everyone but Id just like to say, I LOVE DRESSING THE WAY I DO AND DONT GIVE A FUCK WHAT PPL THINK unless their my friends, then Im concerned....;) It does sometimes get to me when I get made fun of, I admit, but I been dressing this way almost all my life, so Im cool with whatever happens:)
