I've never thought it was right to use the way you look to get you places in life. How is applying make up and doing your hair and perking up your tits hard work that should be rewarded by getting ahead in life? Im not against " if you got it use it" go a head but dont try and get through life depending on the way you look. |

| Coolness: 276635 | Theres a difference between having fun with the way you look, feeling confident about the way you look to boost your self confidence but its another to revolve your life around it.
I mean every single person is obsessed with the way they look to a certain extent but when you have pressure to look a certain way and have to meet certain expectations thats just wrong. Everyone is beautiful everyone has a beauty about them.. who are we to hold a competition to decide who is the best? In 30 years from now im sure 3/4 of those girls are going to look like the most hideous plastic barbie doll wanabees just so they can hold on to what they once had. One thing that made them different and more special. We all age and we all look different and were all beautiful. All im saying is there shouldn't be so much pressure to look a certain way because theres so much more to life then applying lipstick the right way and memorising your answer as to how you would make the world a better place. |

Julie you of all people should think the expectations people have to meet for these kinds of things are outgragious. You told me yourself the shit they asked you to do was too much. At least you came to your sences and realized you were fine the way you are. Why have we let the media put an ideal in our heads of what is flatering and what isnt. I dont think its right. I dont think we should be so self consious and care about how we look as much as we do. Its fine to take care of yourself and want to make yourself look good but to agonize over it and feel that if you dont look like the model does in a pair of jeans or something that it implies theres something wrong with the way YOU look. Its not good for us. People could do so many other happy joyful things. Like make pretty wittle bebes. |
