Go ahead, develop a new system. Go ahead and do better. In the meantime, bite the bullet and spend your days configuring stuff instead of actually using it. I mean, any idiot can look for flaws. But it takes a great person t actually change the way things are going. No diss intended. Just my two cents.

what you dont know can hurt you
and i dont know where you both are going claiming caring a lil more than 3% is bad. i dont base my life on computers , i shape the universe as i see fit and have it work for me AND OTHERS. it doesnt stop at "COMPUTERS" its about phisics , energy and optimising it while scoring 219% and paying my respect to retrocomputing and REPECTING it. yea i have my own os version and im a few who understands how to bootstrap from assembly. i look elsewhere and i am not complacent of whats in front of me never . but i have respect for what has been done , something i doupt goes around here unless you can flag your name on the cover somewhere. i just dont rant on it . i trouble shoot it , exposing the flaws . something you would never have your lousy os if they never did that. and lately failing at it quite bad (the corp.) i care about what is been use and how the same way as i care about politics. shure the players suck , but not the game , raise your heads a lil for fuck sake.

Like a said cutter, normal people should...
Normal people as I saw, should let their computer a bit on the side because the computer burned their life... On your side, if you get something back from the computer it's different. You'r no more a normal person then ;-) And everyone should be someone different, not a normal person lol

ok another question. within the past 2 weeks.. a couple times a day, sometimes more.. firefox freezes up - says "not responding" . if I click the page again, it then goes cloudy white.. still frozen. basically everything else froeezes up after this too - documents audio, etc, though not always.. so all I can do is either reboot or CTRL ALT DELETE and shut down firefox in task manager.. which usually takes about a minute before it will finally shut down. pain in the ass..
I thought maybe it was addons in firefox but i disabled / uninstalled all of em and still ahve same problem. I also re-installed firefox to no avail.. and internet exploerer also freezes as well, after the firefox goes. any ideas? cutterhead? anyone? |

if you see plugin-container.exe , in you process list when it freeze up . kill it. it can use up to 200mb. if it happens , either , java , flash or noscript makes the plugin run "safely" under this executable. also , look in your environement temp ( %Local Settings%/temp & %Local Settings%/temporary internet files , %Local Settings%/cookies or history or watnot) delete everything they contain. all these wont show if you havent checked the " show hidden files " in your folder settings and apply to all the system tree. also make a "file search" for *.* , sort by date , and find the firefox hidden temp folder that way , delete suspicious content , cookies blank history. next , make shure you have run spybot , updated it , vaccinated again and made a system scan with it. updatin flash , java or firefox itself after all the above fail could help. keep a close eye to whats going on in the environement temp folder and two other places : your system even log , ( my computer > right click > manage > system event log... ) and in spybot expert tool menu you can review installed programs , and otehr info about reg keys and plugins that winblows normally cannot show , but to do so you will have to lurk a lot in that menu most of these are hidden and need to be checked to show these options in that perticular expert menu. until you can confirm me how clean your temp is (temps in the default case) or that spybot vaccine values ( unprotected . protected and total ) matches correctly no odd missing numbers or that temp/plugin is deleted or plugin-container.exe is killed only after will i be a lil more aware of whats going on under your hood Update » cutterhead wrote on Sun Sep 26, 2010 @ 2:00pm in firefox there exist an expert setting listing , witch controls , well everything firefox does.
in the addy bar typer " about:config " if what i would do above fail , i would try and remove one dom.settings (cant remember the rest) that prevent plugin-container.exe from being used and also some little settings to make fire fox more silent, such as not making last pages available to analitics etc.. also spoofing the user agents but that wouldnt do shit for your freeze , im shure it freezed on you the same way as i get everytime an new spybot update is available. you just go on their page , update , run and normarlly it gets resolved till the next update comes available. either their reaction time is less than a day , or they make the bogons and proactively resolve the issue by lunching it worldwide while providing the solution :D either way its normally just that , the rest could be pornfestation or bacteria (software from 4 chan imbedded etc..) tell me how it goes along Update » cutterhead wrote on Sun Sep 26, 2010 @ 4:42pm once more thing id like to add, my firefox and opera have been hijacked either this week or last. symptoms sounds like yours , i scan and vaccine and spybot doesnt give at first view.
but i found a few apps in my startup and that was installed but coulnt see them from winblows add remove program , luckily spybot has an uninstaller that made me aware of this (way more verbose) and could remove them completely. some keys were doubled . and my winnt32 somthing got moved. im still investigating on the later as i am currently trying to plow this problem out of my compt myself. lots happening with p2p software and java or flash, seems the shared io of java got mingled with too much throttling , identification and all . sometime opening firefox speeds up certain p2p dl and sometimes it bogged them . anyhow again let us know your progress , even if you just boot up from backup Update » cutterhead wrote on Sun Sep 26, 2010 @ 6:55pm also , if you have a good 3rd party defragmenter , especially one that can do boot time defragmentation to defrag files used by winblows (normally winblows doesnt do that on its own)
that would be , to me , as important to use along the afore said spy peek program than anything else i havent scratched so far.

My favorite OS: Win98 and Win7. 987. I plan to always have an old gaming PC with 98 on it so I can still play my old 16/32bit PC games. Vista was ~fine on my lappy, but then I got a load of problems. Then it went alright and now it's pretty stable so I'm kinda lazy now to put 7 on it.
