| Description: | A pre-pandemic rave concept returns from the archives. First imagined by Foreigner and brought to life circa 2019 for our collab event in LA, PLAY now lands in Montreal as a present-day inner-child link-up. For the occasion we've invited a cast of selectors who understand that dance music is at its best when there is intent and curiosity. For this edition, the Chicago-rooted, LA-based DJ and tastemaker ANASTAZJA steps into the Moonshine orbit for a. Montreal debut. Working across house, dance, funk and drum-driven sounds, expect a set guided less by genre than by rhythm - a sonic journey rooted in groove. Also on the bill: MLLE CEE, Club Sagacité alum and Fence Hop/Afrodite affiliate; Felix Patry, Homeby6 co-founder and longtime fixture of Montreal’s underground rave scene; and Jokege, closing with the konpa, gouyad, and amapiano session you were promised. Moonshine resident and core member San Farafina rounds out the lineup with her trademark sound. |
