Non je comprend, et je respecte ton opinion. Seulement c'est un sujet sur lequel j'ai débattu longuement et auquel j'ai réfléchi énormément.

Tout ce que la drogue peut faire est d'enlever des barrières psychologiques que l'être humain sobre s'impose par nécessité pratique. L'être humain est bien trop vulnérable s'il est totalement à la mercie de sa son subconscient dans la vie de tous les jours. Seulement, dans un moment de création artistique, cette vulnérailité, cette sensibilité accrue, devient un atout important. Je suis de ceux qui croient que c'est ce que tu peux lire dans un oeuvre qui importe le plus, et pas comment elle à été crée. Bien sûr, la technique peut aussi être important, mais les drogue ne peuvent pas "donner" plus de technique à un créateur pas plus qu'elle lui donne de la créativité.

J'ose imaginer que tes amis sur le LSD ne dessinaient pas des trucs totalement figuratifs (ou du moins pas très représentatifs de la réalité). C'est selon moi parce que la drogue les a poussé à donner moins d'importance aux "règles" qu'ils croyaient devoir s'imposer. Une personne qui n'a pas beaucoup de technique en dessin vas la pluspart du temps créer quelque chose de plus "beau" (qu'est-ce que le beau...?) si elle défie les "règles", parce qu'elle ne sait pas respecter ces "règles" de toute façon.

Pfff. Mais non. N'importe quel moyen est bon pour ouvrir les portes du subconscient et l'étaler sur une toile. Les drogues ne peuvent pas créer la créativité, elles ne font que la libérer. Y a pas de "tricheurs", en art.

Quant à Basquiat, c'est un des artistes que j'admire le plus. J'ai fait plusieurs travaux sur lui au cégep.

C'était le parfait mélange entre ses origines noires, le jazz américains, la culture pop et le mode de vie urbain. Un grand artiste et une bête cachée derrière une façade d'homme civilisé. Rien d'étonnant à ce que Warhol l'ait prit sous son aile. Il est d'ailleurs le premier artiste visuel noir en amérique à être entré dans la culture populaire.

Saying it's "taking control" of your life by killing yourself is like saying an anorexic is in control...

Most of the time, suicide is being overwhelmed by depression...it's your true self giving up to an emotion that has grown out of control.

But I do agree that it's not always "weakness". As I said, nothing is ever all black or white. And even when it's a form of weakness, I think we all have our up and downs. Don't think there's many good reasons for suicide though (I know I'd like to die if I was in a vegetative state, for instance).

Naked Lunch is fun...But the book is 100x better.

As for NBKillers, yeah, it's a shame I only saw it for the first time yesterday.

Same thing for Kubrick. I love his movies, saw most of his classics and other works, but never saw The Shining.

Sure, suicide/self destruction is a form of weakness. But I'm sometimes wondering who are the best people, the ones who can't handle this way of life, can't lie to themselves good enough to play this crazy game, or the ones who conform to it.

Not saying I'm acting in one way or the other...things aren't always all black or white. I just know that it can be really confusing sometimes and that it's not always easy to make the right choices.

You definitely lack of a subwoofer or I don't know...this track is filled with sub bass (although I agree that a youtube video doesn't always deliver a track to it's fullest...)

Bass =/= midrange chainsaws and agressive dirty stuff.

The best dubstep is usually very deep and sub-bassy (imho).
