Last movie: The Life and Death of Aerial Raver Comment: Rated R for disturbing scenes, psychological violence and sexual content. Do I recommend? Comment: Not too bad. Good camera angles, the car chases are cool and the fight scenes are well choregraphied. Storyline... What storyline? ;) N'ah, it's not that plotless, just that I didn't really understand why would Chinese people be shipped in Europe to work as slaves... Slavery in 2000-something? Weird. c'est pas un film récent, mais j'avais jamais eu encore la chance de le voir! C'est très bon. On m'avait dit que c'étais white trash, j'ai été déçue vu que je m'attendais à ça et j'y est rien vu de vraiment trash... C'étais à quelques endroit un peu prévisible mais l'histoire est bien et les personnages archi interessant! |

Comment: Best Whitaker performance ever. McAvoy was awesome too but seriously, I'm so glad Forest Whitaker finally got an Oscar. The movie feels good; I was utterly scared of Amin like never before, at the end of the movie. Do I recommend: Fuck yeah. |

I thought it was very well done.. a little too well done in parts. Heroin and needles are very touchy subjects for me, and there were parts of the movie I found particularily disturbing. But all in all I would say it was a good movie, though I didn't like the ending. (of course that couldn't be helped, since it was a true story.) Personally, I cried like a baby. =P (I'm such an emo, FUCK!!)
