i didnt get to make it this weekend...a little too much $$$ for my budget. yet i have attended many partys at rainbow.

i believe it is a nice place....but like someone said a venue suits a certain party. it has to get at least decently full...cuz its still pretty big. but yes it is sad that promoters are afraid to find new venues. what is done is done...when ur at a party u cant change it...so u might as well enjoy urself the time ur there. and im sure ppl had fun anyways...

regardless i must agree with heather and caro...last time i went to rainbow was to go see a ska show...."the slackers"...i mean it was amazing...and soo much fun...

the main question of this thread...was what u dislike about the scene, what has made partys so repetitive, what would u like and prefer to experience at a party. very few failed to understand the purpose of these questions. of course the scene isnt dead...i mean i still party practically every week end...but how could we make it better? what is lacking?

an intelligent discussion means...bringing relevant points and arguments, pertaning to the subject at hand. personal vendetas, e-drama for example...is useless...as well as ppl bringin bad vibes...i agree with mico!

of course i still party becuz of the music...i believe thats why most ppl party...but i was not questioning ppls love for music...i was questioning how we can improve partys.

kids now a days...dont really know the meaning of underground partyes. i mean when i started partying some years ago...the underground scene was already dying...and now its almost quite DEAD.

partying is just not the same...and suddendly i have a feeling its becoming or better said: its become a trend. does it bother me? yes. regardless my opinion is irrelevant...for i am interrested in knowing other ppls point of view related to this subject.

THE ADVENTURE:

it all begain when i woke up in the afternoon...with no $$$ yesterday. Broke like all fuck...wondering how the hell am i gonna manage to afford this party. all i could think was: "I must bring tim to go see Paul for the first time in his life"

i played my cards right...went to go see mommy and begged for money. It worked. 20$ in my pocket. so i figured it was fine..i mean 10$ tickets...no prob. tim ended up getting 10 as well...so we had enough for weed too. SCORE.

i had no clue where i was going or how to get to millenuim...i got mega drunk at Brendon's bday party, which confused me even more. some how we got there.

once inside millenium, safe from the cold...i go pay for tim and i. "that will be a total of 30$!"she tells me. i almost died of a heart attack.
i mean to find out that i planned my budget totally wrong...argh! cuz the tickets cost more at the door. Obviously... Dumbass! stranded with not enough money...not knowing what to do...all i that was certain was that we were going to get inside somehow. i decide to tell tim "lets sneak in". so we tried the bouncers didnt let us go through. "u need ur stamp" he said

so i went to the lady that stamped ppl who paid and said "u forgot to stamp me!!!"...and she did. SCORE!!!! i got in for free. that meant enough money for timmys ticket.

we made it in time for pauls set. which kicked ass!!! loads of clubkids...etards..but ppl were having a good time. what a kick ass set that paul spun let me tell you.

i got to see ze've that was great. thanks for the lift by the way :)

okay i'll stop rambling on..the night was a success...i had loads of fun...im going to bed now...the adventure is over.

it is just annoying that what is the reputation of our scene...is a HOUSE scene. it is annoying and like i wrote i believe....that many djs lack of IMAGINATION.... and that is our main problem i personaly believe. in otherwords there is a lot of room for perfection.

and none the less....why the fuck should politics be involved in the rave scene...its just sad ...and that is what really bothers me the most. talent always gets somewhat suppressed

my recent adventure...was on a bridge in Corrientes, Argentina. with my boyfriend....that was soo much fun...crazy wind up on a bridge.

fuck i've seen him spin sooo much in my life....especially at the beginning of my raving carreer. all my friends working at sona...him being a regular. ahhhh....hes driven me insane. i do not like him at all. i mean in some rare occasions he did surprise me as a DJ...but that is rare. so fuckn progressive....so fuckn predictable its crazy. lack of imagination i find. and an ego to through out the window.

i have seen his improvement in time in his carreer but he is "considered" if not the best, one of the best dj's montreal produced----thats pretty fuckn sad. its about time we get dj's with talent. its sad when u think about...we have no real great dj here. Too much LACK of imagination...and theie little EGO: IM COOL CUZ I SPIN.
