he's cool cause he's making mad cash by spinning... that and because he's ingested insane amounts of K in his life.. kay just makes people soo much cooler.. it even gives them the ability to believe that records can float..

ok, so here's something i've been trying to figure out for some time.

514 is gay in the way they push these rediculously long sets, like with Aria's "Max Graham 10 Hour Extended Set".. who the hell wants to hear one dj spin on style of music for 10 freakin hours..??

well, probably the same people that don't even realise its been the same dj for the whole night, not even noticing that he's played the same track at least 3 times durring his set just to laught at all the stoned people not paying any attention..

i guess that's how they get away with booking only one dj and still charging 25$

so rather than be, yeah we're cheap asses and only have one dj, its like

A 10 HOUR SET!! YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!!!

fuck i've seen him spin sooo much in my life....especially at the beginning of my raving carreer. all my friends working at sona...him being a regular. ahhhh....hes driven me insane. i do not like him at all. i mean in some rare occasions he did surprise me as a DJ...but that is rare. so fuckn progressive....so fuckn predictable its crazy. lack of imagination i find. and an ego to through out the window.

i have seen his improvement in time in his carreer but he is "considered" if not the best, one of the best dj's montreal produced----thats pretty fuckn sad. its about time we get dj's with talent. its sad when u think about...we have no real great dj here. Too much LACK of imagination...and theie little EGO: IM COOL CUZ I SPIN.

whatever...
I replied pm styles to marijane, but to re-iterate:

I don't think that there's a lack of dj talent in Montreal at all, in fact, I believe that it's the exact opposite! I would argue that Montreal has some of the best dj talent in the world right now, but the majority of that talent will never really be known, for several reasons, one of which is that this real tallent gets only a fraction of exposure/support from this city...

anyways, whatever, not that it matters, I'm sure the next "trend" will be just as much fun kids! yay...

Ufot-things, u know, things...

mtls got loads of talent
but its mainly house and techno that get the spotlight...
might be better that way, who would want the scene to turn into sona///

damn that dude in the pic has skills tho! levitation yo and he seems to have an all around wonderful tan that probably never goes away

No f'real..
Montreal does have a good contingent of Djs
Just not Club Djs.

Kid Koala, owns the world.
A-trak, owns the world
Tiga, owns the electro world.

Alot of Montreal DJs are King of the hill.. but in different sounds than you listen to I guess.

first and formost...am i talking about the underground scene??? No

i might of expressed myself badly, i do apologize...meaning that of course montreal has talent. it would be putting myself down if i meant that montreal had no musical talent.

it is just annoying that what is the reputation of our scene...is a HOUSE scene. it is annoying and like i wrote i believe....that many djs lack of IMAGINATION.... and that is our main problem i personaly believe. in otherwords there is a lot of room for perfection.

and none the less....why the fuck should politics be involved in the rave scene...its just sad ...and that is what really bothers me the most. talent always gets somewhat suppressed
