One of the reasons I like non Ipod players better is that they can read more file formats- I kinda hate .mp4s, and Itunes hates all non Mac computers and totally eats away memory. Quite frankly, my headphones aren't good enough to pick up on slight quality differences, and I love that I can rip things and put about 50% more songs on my Zen since I can put .wav and .mp3 plus other nifty formats.

That's freakin' insane. I had a hard enough time rustling up change for a payphone when it was 25 cents. I finally succumbed to the lure of a cell, so I guess that isn't a problem anymore.

Just wow. I don't know why, but it makes me feel old. :P

I really hope whoever this happened to seeks some emotional help. I'm sure if she's been to a hospital they've already recomended CAVAC to her, but if not here's a link [ www.cavac.qc.ca ] . It's free, and they help set you on the right track to recovery and coping. I hate that people have to go through things like this. All the best to the survivor, and feel free to PM me if you need more resources.

A very, VERY good time was had by me. I quite enjoyed that little venue! I thought the sound was a bit too loud for the room size, but the balance was decent, the sets were awesome and I quite enjoyed the layout of the chill room. Nicely done. :D

This movie is gonna be playing non-stop at gay clubs everywhere. I don't think I've ever seen so many man boobies in my life! Metrosexual Xerxes? Army of orc-like ninja? Kind Leonides's beard? all reasons to go see it. Don't pay any mind to the fact that there's no plot, it'll just spoil the fun.

I agree w/ Amp_up, Théâtre Sans-Fil is an excellent venue. Gorgeous, air conditioned, plenty of floors/rooms. But if every party was held there, I'd get bored of it pretty quickly, too. I agree with Breathe and Zed about the 'hunt' for the venue. Me, I have NO sense of directions, so sometimes getting there would be half the night for me, but it was always new, and always something exciting. A bunch of us would gather together and then search for the magical far-away rave.

But, I also understand promoters who sink all thier time and energy into events don't always want to take the risk on a new venue. Be it problems with renters, police, tranportation, ect. I mean, Noah tried a new place for his birthday party, and everyone ragged on it. People get punish for trying to be innovative, and then we complain when things don't change.

All this ranting to say there are alot of factors at work here. You don't want to rave a fractal? Throw your own party. Maybe you'll learn something.

Live act debating aside, I had an amazing time! The deco was wonderful (best I can can remember in a long time) sounds was on-par and a completely decent volume (not too loud, not too quiet + good balance)and the sets were stellar. Kudos to the organizers for puling off a beau-ti-ful bash, and all the people that made it extra special.

I'm for long distance relationships. If the commitment level in equal in both parties, it can completely work. I know friends that have beautiful stories about thier long distance relationships.

But for me, I can't take it. Sexuality is a huge part in my relationships. Love without sex is okay, and sex without love is okay. But I'm really greedy and want them BOTH. ;)

Some of the most depressing films I've ever seen (If you're looking for some pain):
Abre Los Ojos (Open your eyes)
Amores Perros (Love's Bitch)
We Don't Live Here Anymore
Irreversible
The Squid & The Whale (Not exceptionally depressing, but tragic)
The Sweet Hereafter
and most recently, Labyrintho Del Faune (Pan's Labyrinth)
(to name a few)

*lol* You know, I never got the impressions that you thought there was anything *wrong* with depressing movies, just that you don't enjoy them. He he, and that's totally fair. I have some friends that when they come over and I ask wanna watch a movie they ask "Will I want to commit suicide after it?". I've got the rep for loving the pain.

Lately most of the pills I've seen around have been the blue hearts, blue diamonds and green stars, and I know shit about any of them, so I'm hestiant to try a pill I don't know. :( Oh well, I'll just keep asking for advice.
