Well, they DID pit Christians against lions when they thought they could control the sect...

They only officialized it and took over to stop their attacks. It's actually quite a feat. Constantine, to his death, was still very much a pagan (I dislike that term). They took their Gods (Mithras, Eostre, Isis, etc) and added the Christian beliefs as a "theme" (like a mysapce layout, if you want a modern analogy). It was still a pagan religion but now that Christian terms were applied, who would you believe as true Christian religion? The one followed by a few tens of thousands or the one now followed by millions all over the Empire?

The Catholic church, especially, was meant for this. Icons were made to the pagan gods in the form of important Christian figures so as to elude most people. Isn't Mary Isis? Isn't Jesus Osiris, back from the Dead? Isn't Mary Magdalened Aphrodite? Isn't Saint George Apollo? Saint Augustine made it even better in the four hundreds by declaring that only the Church had the power to speak to God and thus shutting down whoever disagreed with the mockery. I mean, he's one of the key players behind the idea of the Just War and the ensuing Crusades, centuries later...

Hrm, going away from the main topic. I tend to do that. Hypersition is a hobby of mine. :)

Hahaha Christianity illegal in Europe and North America... Dude, christiany stopped being "illegal" in the dark ages when Constantine made it the official religion of the Roman Empire, which extended pretty much all over the known world up to Asia.

Since then, Christians have pretty much forced their beliefs, tortured and killed any heathen in their way. Christianity came to North America to do the exact same thing.

Or did you mean when North America was new? As in, dinosaurs prohibited Christianity? Or you mean, before the Great Flood?

Or simply, "wtfnoob?"

Is he (a puppet), though? I want to believe that he is but then, why would he be the president? Why him? Between him and his brother Jeb, he looks the most retarded. Jeb is as gullible as George... he just LOOKS smarter. Why would the Skull and Bones want George and not Jeb? Jeb would have made a better-looking puppet. George only, constantly puts his foot in his mouth.

No, the biggest lie George is doing, right now, is to make people believe that this situation is all over his head. he might not be a social butterly but he knows what he's doing. Too bad that what he's doing has to do with the death of other nations.

What do you remember of 9/11?

I remember waking up and watching MTV2 and they had the CNN footage playing. I thought for sure that it was a Rage Against the Machine kind of shock music video introduction. After five minutes, I started to think that this was a really long music video intro... but then, Michael Jacskon has sone EXTREMELY long music video intros... so it could be possible.

After ten, I switched to CNN and realized what a dumbass I was.

Without any link to any of those countries whatsoever.

Doesn't matter if it was an inside job or just a good opportunity. It was still wrongly handled and that's the bad part. Bush profited from a disaster to finish his daddy's goals. I'm just happy I'm not living in Jacksonville, Florida anymore. It was Navy town (on a perpetual orang/red alert in 2001).

[ www.youtube.com ] Part Two

Watch as Bush stretches his air time trying to come up with an answer starting at 3:10 in part one. Stare at his confused brows as he tells you, basically, that the hardest task he has to face is finding ways to link Iraq and 9/11 together.

The man is revolting. I know it has been said more than once but nevertheless...

Sure, everyone has the right to defend themselves. But he's on TV. Different rules. Might I remind you of Zidane's head butt? Fair game? yes. Scandal? Fuck yes.

It's not as big a scale with the news reporter but the conclusion would have been the same: had the reporter hit back, even though he IS in the right, it would have shown him as one who quickly loses control. That's not good, for a journalist.

The Lenin Mausoleum must be quite a show right now, what with all the spinning of Lenin's corpse over this nonsense.

How can you even compare an Anti-Semitist with someone who fought Anti-Semitism in Russia?

Lenin and Hitler are NOTHING like Bin Laden. For one thing, they were not financed by the American President's father a couple decades before attacking (if they ever did).

Is it at all surprising that Bin Laden has just now ressurfaced, a day or so before the US government has voted in favor of adding 64 billion dollars to the war effort? That's all they talk about, now; that damned tape.

It's sad. But that's the kind of life he led.

What saddens me yet again is attention whores profiting from his death to boost their "omg! I loved that guy so much (even though I haven't watched a single of his shows)" level.

Where was the tears when Bob Denver died, bitches?

Also, I doubt anyone would cry out loud like this if Steve-O died in a grocery cart accident...

"The story wasn't too bad, either; some zombie movie fans, are filming their own zombie movie, when zombies really DO pop up!"

Wierd. That sounds an awful lot like Romero's Diary of the Dead, which he is supposed to be making soon.

As for Stacy... yeah, it was just too strange to really be remembered. It made no sense at all, towards the end. Love turns girls into zombies? Hrm.

I can't wait for My Name is Bruce! THAT movie surely will kick zombie ass!

The reason there are no cannibal zombies is simple: would you eat rotting meat? Neither would they.

In the humour/zombie department, I thought that Undead was pretty funny, though it ends strangely. Zombie Honeymoon tackled the subject differently and a lot more personally than other movies. My girlfriend chouldn't stand the two-minutes chewing towards the end...

There's also Stacy, a very wierd Japanese zombie movie where only young girls under 15 become the living dead. Zombie schoolgirls galore!
