All things depend on other things. You don't have to create equality just maintain it. By maintaining it, you guarantee your freedom. Freedom comes with responsibility.

Why do you feel forced to help? You only have choices in virtue of the fact that certain things exist a priori (before) such as air, water, earth, energy, etc. You'd only be forced to help if you had no choice, if you really had no choice, you would be dead or basically the ends of what you are doing would be death, not life, whcih is what capitalism is all about. Like how you capitalized the I in that sentence.

If you are going to carry ANYTHING on your shoulders.. that's purposeless.
If you carry something noble and worth dying for such as equality, you can only gain life.
If you want to live and care about life, why would you carry any burden that is thrown upon you?
