Hi, I'm Adrianna, the 3 digits tell all :P, you know unless you get to meet me in person (oh my god, human interaction) :p I tend to say things that offend people but no one should take me seriously...at least when I'm laughing, I'm a bit of a jerk but hey, the giggling lets you know that I poke fun for fun...

true for out of town bands or the big well known bands but then there are the shows at local squats, like the ones at L.B. Hotel, they pretty much operate in the same way as raves, just big parties where local bands play for free (or in exchange for non-monetary substance ;) or for simple publicity) to entertain the kids of the scene that go on til 8 in the morning and I still have yet to see one get busted. I totally agree that the scene is not immune to harassment from cops. Punks are
Poor
Underprivileged
Neglected
Kids
who use years of social alienation as a driving force for artistic means of expression and have adopted DIY ethics because they have learned that no one else cares about or will take care of us except for ourselves, metalheads on the other hand are a bunch of satanic hicks that use no poetic device in their music, sing about girls, fast cars, anger and alcohol and have nothing to do with a sense of a self-supporting youth community. The parallels between punk (before the scene lost its way) and the rave community seem to run deeper. Anti-racist, anti-sexist ethics mixed with a bon-vivant attitude of: no one said reality would be perfect but fuck it! lets stick together, take care of each other and party like there's NO FUTURE.

I agree that this should make sense, but for some reason the cops have a very special way of leaving punk shows alone. Take the L.C.B show at centre fractale, three fights broke out, windows were broken, people were shootin' up and fucking in the washrooms...not one cop showed up. Three days later I went to a rave, again at centre fractale...not a single fight...sure lots of drugs too, but done more discretely....and [ tadam...com ] 2 am the cops shut it down...having gone to both events I found this completely confusing, and no one else seems to get it either...anyway for some reason or another cops don't bust down shows in the punk scene (unless you happen to be at Leftover Crack's show :p). So in theory the punk scene IS more deserving of a police crackdown, but the reality is that we don't get it.

:) its nice that people know that its only a minority of fuckheads doing this shit. Its not really out of giving a shit about what people think of me that I was wondering about these things, it was more out of respect for the people who have been here longer than me, "I wasn't here first" type of situation, I also just wanted to put it out there to a few of my friends from the punk scene that have started raving with me that "its great to come and invite more from the old scene...just tell them that the fucking animosity has to stop where the old scene died, and if they can't do that, then please stay home.

they happened at a punk show...and the whole point of my blog, is that I don't wanna see that shit at raves too, and I don't want the bad rep. that comes with it

yeah, i'll give you credit for that, like i said, i only started to rave about 2 years ago, and for the guy who said "uhh" i'm talking about the incident where the windows at centre fractale got broken during the Lower Class Brats show cuz of the fights that broke out, and its people like that made me shy away from my old scene and migrate into the rave scene...as ALOT MORE (i know there always have been) people from the punk scene come in i'm just hopping that they'll leave their baggage and conflict behind...I don't really wanna see another one of my friend's heads get dragged through a window

Hi, 2 years ago my roommate Martin introduced me to raving, at the time mohawks and skulled animal bags were non-existent or scarce at raves (or at least the ones I made my way to).At a few of my first raves I would hear people utter "o mon dieu, un punk a un rave! kosek qu'elle fait ici?!" but now it sees much more common. Over a short time it seems that a lot of people from the old punk scene (that is loosing its way due to a lot of conflict and animosity between different factions, people busting other peoples head through windows at shows and the likes) are showing up. Don't get me wrong, its great to see old faces in new places but I'm worried about where this might be going. I genuinely enjoy the scene and sincerely hope that conflicts generated within the punk rock scene don't migrate into it as more and more of us are finding refuge in the colorful side of life, it would be a shame to ruin paradise with childish people who think its ok to bust windows and shit just to seem 'hardcore". I would like us to be a welcomed invasion rather hated infestation. The candy punx out there still have potential, if you want to ruin it please stay at home with your window bashing "harder core than thou" complex.

all scenes go through cycles...look what happened to the punk scene, ppl said it was dead it wasn't but it was definetly going down-hill, then it boomed, then shrank away, then boomed, shrank away lets just hope it doesn't get commercially raped in its booms (like so many other scenes) but anyway, its the enevitable flow of social scenes, just gotta tough out the seasons and what a better way than to do it together [ www...so ] sappy eh?- you love it) :p

it would be nice to have one with all the work on the front so I can chop it up into a halter top...since girlie tees are always made with the gross stretchy cotton that doesn't breathe worth shit...but seriously I might just grab and old shirt and some acrylic paints and steal your idea. If ever there's enough budget at a party you should get some plain value village tees, acrylic paints and have people make their own shirts at a party (yes...I'm trying to sneak some D.I.Y punky values into this :P...what else do you expect from me?) either way...its fucking hilarious, wearing one would put a smile on my face
