| Well now everyone knows what happend at FFTS, but common 2 years ago, they said the rave since was dieing and look im still raving we are still raving!!! People who think its dieing grow up man, i seen the raves Ivolve over the years i been raving since i was 13 for god sakes man. Why are people thinking it going to end? |

| Okay, well, the scene ain't dying.
Those who think so, well, what can I say. The way I seem to understand this whole scene is quite simple actually.
The scene EVOLVES, I mean, first you get good parties, among a few knowledgeable people, things pick up, more and more people show to the events, they get bigger, attract more attention (from cops, organised crime, whatever) and that eventually drives the party scene to a point where the cops kinda HAVE to do something. So they start cracking down, cuz, well, it's not just a little movement discretely doing it's thing.It's become a tax free money making machine, and kids are involved and whatnot. So, the core of the scene starts partying amongst each other, low profile, and then BANG, patterns reemerges.
I mean, is it so hard to understand?
Chille out people, let things happen and cope with it. No use bitching and moaning...

| the problem with ravers is they are not willing to admit that knowledge of their thing has spread into the broader culture, i picked up a dictionary the other day and it had an entry for 'rave', if the people at oxford dictionaries know about it, how could the cops not, this is why it's so hard to get a venue, because back in the day you used to go to the owner and be like 'ya, would you like to make some money, i wanna rent your place for ONE NIGHT!' and the dude would be like 'alright whatever,' cause he didn't know any better, now they have wised up to our game, they know what we want (a place to have like 200+ people, loud music, and drugs) and they wont take the risk for anything but top dollar, it happens in every city like this, there aren't 'raves' in NYC anymore at least not in any serious way, sure there are loft parties and shit like that, but big parties, no, impossible. It's the same in other big cities, maybe in some sense it's a measure of how good a rave scene is that it eventualy destroys itself. |
