cesar the mexican calls me "la chilanga canadiense",
which means "the canadian girl from mexico city".
together we headbash to music
and speak in dirty slang.

i've been drawing random things everyday
to give them to my co-worker françois.
sometimes it will be tapes with noses,
other times, a bottle speaking out of someone's head.
he accepts suspiciously the little bits of paper i hand him,
and stuffs them in the bottom of his pockets.
i came in his office today, and they were stuck on the wall,
scattered everywhere like post-it notes in chaos.

a hippie wearing a peace sign pendant and a plaid polar fisherman's hat gave me a stick of incense this afternoon.
he grabbed his guitar and told me he'd sing me an "indian song".
when the chanting started, i left.
it was too much.

i found "the cars" and "rocket from the crypt" cassettes today.
