| Info: | DJ Wim, radio personality Mark Kneppers and Fender Rhodes extraordinaire Oscar de Jong are the Dutch threesome with a healthy penchant for all thinks retro: from '70s rare grooves ("Keep On Searching") to '50s Blue Note jazz leanings ("5 To 4"). They've been causing quite a stir, getting into the record boxes of Pete Tong, Annie Nightingale, Chris Coco and Laurent Garnier, among many others. Mark Kneppers and Wim Plug are two-thirds of the Dutch outfit Kraak & Smaak, coming to perform in Ottawa, making it the only show in Canada. Having just recently worked on two tracks with Jamiroquai, their 'Boogie Angst' album for Jalapeno Records has delighted many a listener with its free form dance music. Their earlier single, "Say Yeah", pays blissful homage to the likes of Fatback, BT Express and Sly Stone thanks to Kneppers' keyboard majesty and James Brown style chants.
