A 16 year old could easily be ont he same level as a 20 year or even 25 year old. I for one would be insulted if anyone considered me a typical 16 year old. I dont fit the idiocyncratic mold of a 16 yr old...and i know that among my other 16-17 yr old frineds, im not the only one who feels this way. Age is very subjective regarding dating n such. It really all depends on the two people in question. If a 16 and 23 yr old feel compatible (despite obvious the law restrictions)....then u know....why not go for it...its alll relative any ways |

Hayley a year ago I found myself defending my age and maturaty level just like you are.. and that isnt what i was trying to get at.. I was just curious to know what everyones standards are.. How weird (if at all) it would be to see lets say an 18 year old with a 30 year old.. thats all. |

10 year olds arent supposed to be hot. i myself have fallen into this, whoa, dontcha think he's kinda old? category... there was a 9 year difference between me and him, i at times felt he was too much older, more educated, etc,etc. but i and my friends grew to accept it like it was nothing, so i think it really depends on how you "click"...except if youre 15 and hes like 21. thats just fucking gross. |

i used to have an older friend who used to watch the school girls walking home from school from his window (cause they passed by it after school)... nothing wrong with that... he was just looking and not going after... he was also happily married... sometimes both of them would check the school girls out together... and make jokes... |

i know some 12 year olds look 17, seriously... but as long as in yr head yr thinking theyre 17 then thats ok, in my opinion. 16 year olds look 21 these days.. so if yr looking at her thinking that in my opinion it's ok. anyways i draw the line at 16 for any guy any age. even if youre 25 and you think a 16 year old is hot i dont see whats so bad as long as you dont touch. but not a child. not a 10 year old. my sister is 10. she still cant say purple right. she says poypul. | Coolness: 46335 | There is actually no law stating someone under 18 cannot date someone with 4 years difference. The law is, once you are 14 you can date anyone as long as they are not in a position of authority or power to you (i.e. teacher, mentor, babysitter, etc.).
As far as age, it is a number. I would be more concerned with the mental state of a person. I don't think there is any "magic" number as long as someone is able to legally consent. |

 Coolness: 121520 | supposedly (for high school) there's a general 3 year rule, and it could go either way, older or younger, which to me makes sense.
and in biology we learned that women are 3-4 years older than men (from birth and throughout life), and that makes sense to me too, coz girls are easily more mature. but i think once fully mature there should be no set ages (from whenever that is 18, 20, 25, depends..) to go with any other age (not younger though) |
