How Old Is Too Old..

I've always wondered what everyone viewed to be to much of a gap in age when considering dating someone, and the factors in making a descission..

For me I dont think anyone under 18 should be dating someone 5 years older or more.. I think someone the age of 16 and under shouldnt be dating anyone 3 years older..

I think that a ten year difference is the cut off age for any young adult dating an adult.

I think once you are a fully grown adult dating someone older isnt important..because of life experience..

What do you all think..

Well, LEGALY, anyone under 18 is not alowed to have more than a 4 year age diffrence if they're going out with someone 18 or over.

So other then that you think once someone has turned 18 you think they are mature anough to date someone.. lets say.. 12 years older?

i think once u get to your twenties its a free for all
except that whole
age is a state of mind thing (which can apply very often)

I agree

I think when there's a big gap between 2 ppl who are in different places and one doesn't have as much life experience as the other, it's hard to relate
it's also very easy to be naive and feel flattered someone older and wiser is after you
it'd very easy to get caught up in it, to be used, hurt and thrown away.

I think that as long as 2 people can connect on a level where they care for each other and "love" each other, then fuck age.

i've observed it often and so i agree with miss amanda comment

the old mentor and protege relationship are often not built on anything solid

but spooky's 4 years rule makes sense if numbers is all that mattered

Well, the 4 years thing is the "legal" limit. If you excede that and any form of law people find out, it's statutory rape.

I don't think age should really matter. But for me, I would say a 10 age difference would be maxium for me.. but that could change over time.

As for anyone under 18, like myself, I think you should feel free to date who you want to date.. but its best to start dating people your own age at first.. get into nothing serious.. just for the fun and the new experiences. I don't think I 12 year old should be dating, hey they might be mature enough, but a 12 year old should think about other things.. dating can be too much and sometimes blows.. wait until they are a couple years old for that.

But I guess if there is really "love" in the year it shouldn't matter

me thinks that the law and ones personal life are 2 different things; given as many examples as could be offered, I'm pretty sure the same results we show up, it's a case per case basis type of thing.

No 2 relationships are ever really the same, so I think it depends on the people involved...limits to age differences are a personal choice aswell, everyone has them(limits that is).

Ufot-questions like, where are the onions...

it really depends

i mostly agree with kafwin but i also belive that very situation can have its exceptions so you never know

as long as both people are happy i guess it's all good

just be carefull in who and what you let yourself trust

Yeah, it's all a situational thing really. Some people might be happy with a 20 year age diffrence, some might not be happy unless they're within 2-3 years of each other. Love doesn't really care for age or maturity. If you find someone that you can connect with, then there should be no problem. Only thing is most teens who say the same thing and go out with older people don't realise that they're really just being used as fuck-toys and have the only reason they're being nice to them is because they don't want the cops on their ass.

Yea but when a 14 year old is trying to connect with a 26 year old.. what the hell is it they are going to connect on..

You talk about as long as theres love and connection..

What is it that two people so aged apart are going to connect on?

I saw a show on maury *giggles* where this 47 year old women married her 13 year olds sons best friend who was 14.

so gross

i agree with fred 2 people can hold a special bond and age won't matter but little girls need to realiza when their being used and when its a more" real" relationship i mean its just sad to see when a young girl doesn't even realise shes being used

and that maury thing

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
