| Politics. Break it down to what it sounds like:
Poli = Poly = many, a lot of something
tics = ticks = blood sucking parasites |

| Voidnull, your assessment of US history is a little naive.
There is a widespread belief that the Kennedy assassination represents a break point in American history.
The truth appears to be quite different. Seymour Hersh led an investigation into the JFK years with a juicy expose, The Dark Side of Camelot (1997). His conclusions: JFK was up to his neck in sexual shenanigans that Bill Clinton could only wish to equal, covert operations that would inspire the Reagan-Bush era, and Mafia entanglements that sully any claims of Kennedy respectability. He was also a big-time supporter (perhaps for his own cynical reasons) of the McCarthy witch-hunt. And by the way, anyone the least bit appalled by the attempted swindle of the presidency by Shrub Bush in November 2000 should remember the dubious history behind Kennedy's own 1960 "election." |
