ze'ev keywords does not make a filter thats supposed to parse a conversation. Really, I thought you were smarter than that! You gotta have the script learn phrases and full sentences even, and after a while it will figure out the difference between something that is a joke, and something that is eDrama based on a wide array of variables: phrases sentances number of occurances number of posts having those phrase/sentances number of posts AFTER the offensive content was detected (thread getting derailed is no longer eDrama). and this is just off the top of my head. It's all about calculating averages and percentages. Infact, this wouldn't really be a filter script, it would be a statistical generator. |

i dont think aside from phrases (which include sentences) the rest is neccessary. sure, if this function really MEANT anything, i'd do all you said and much more. but this is just for kicks, fun shit, and not even the main useful functionality i intend to add. embarking on a project that is not worth it is a sure way to fail in both completing it and achieving the general objective. you need to think more along the lines of business and less along the lines of space research dude otherwise, why not do a PhD and write papers on smart filters or something? i get things DONE. k? :b |
