| for the vertical, horizontal bullshit, you can draw whatever you want, related to music, or sports or... there was one other theme you could have, and those pictures are the plan for wht you're gonna do on the computer. for example when you're doing vertical whatever you draw has to be vertical, like if it's a trumpet, it should be vertical on the paper. Each kind of line has a different kind of psychological implecation- vertical-power + authority, horizontal-calm, diagnal-excitement, curved-intimacy. He showed us how all cigarrette ads are made, by putting something vertical in the front and something horizontal in the back, it's like saying,"cigarrettes have power over you when you're relaxing." Do you know what we were supposed to do for those 10 min drawings? i can't remember what i was supposed to draw. you're talking about drawing class right? |

the 10 min drawings have to be sketches in our sketch books from real life of organic things (fruits, veggies, plants, people.. you get it: anything alive.) you can use any pencils you want, conte, charcoal, anything he told us to get (and he wants us to experiment with the different mediums.
i did like 3 that are tossable, and you saw me today, after school i went home and went to sleep; and i just woke up like 5 mins ago, and i'm gonna go right back to bed.. i'm so tired, and tomorrow's such a long day.. blech, that's the second day i'll have done no homework.. i'm gonna have to use this weekend to catch-up.. i'm just so tired! |

| *sad* yesterday was miserable, i 'forgot' my sketchbook at home for my first class, i showed up like 15-20 mins late for english, and i hadn't finished my homework for my last class (so i finished it in class) and then my class assignment was late and now i still have a ton of homework... :( (sophia, je comprends) and my sweater's still broken and apparently "jesus himself couldn't fix that sweater" :( |
