I really don't think incorporating Raves is a valid solution ... you can incorporate your Production company though that's fine, and been done. But if you really wanna put energy toward making the scene into a viable business, look toward legitimizing the Raves in the eyes of the Government/Police/Populace instead - that'll open doors for everyone, and you won't have to sue for copyright violations (unless your point is to have some corporate monopoly over the scene). heh. |

If profit is not your motive, then having a corporate type business plan for Psy scene should not be your goal. If you want to legalize Raves, you must legalize the use of venues past 3am. 'Cause, being a Raver isn't illegal (you can't go to jail for listening to Techno) the only thing the City has us on is that we dance all night in a place that we aren't 'permitted' to. Get the City to allow temporary 'after-hour/dance' permits for one night events for any given venue, and we're good. Anyway, through all your vague tripped-out statements, I gather that you want Psy Inc., with people investing (ie. buying shares) and that you will then redistribute profits (ie. to the shareholders). That's a corporation, and honestly I firmly believe that that kind of aggressive capitalist behavior has no place in the Rave scene. You want to start a musically oriented business? Open a bar or start a music label, both of which are helpful / viable / legitimate business ideas. Or, again, fight for our right to legally occupy a venue and dance for the night. I'm sure you have good intentions ... but before you get all defensive again, remember you asked for help, and I give it to you in the form of an opinion. ps. Of course, you can do whatever the fuck you want ;) |
