yes .. people keeps coming not knowing they're out of the market... the last ones used to sell for 900$ new ... so it could easily be sold for 600-700$ in good condition ... so if you have any.. your lucky and keep it!
right now the only one who could maybe be a little close to the technics are the st-150 and str-150 from stanton at around 600$ ... but they obviously dont do the job like a technic.. :(

Pardon my n00bness but wtf is a " Départ auxiliaire sur Jack à symétrie flottante " ? I'm sure if I read the english translation of this, it'd be 100 times clearer. Heh.

Auxiliary start on floating symmetry jack ?

stupid manual writers really must feel intelligent compressing 4 differnt stats in one:

Départ auxiliaire sur Jack à symétrie flottante

english line in the manual : 6 Dual stereo inputs, 2 with mic inputs

manual talks about 6 of them , corresponding to the 6 channels that can be assigned to the x fader as the user wish , hense the term floating. but if we consider they first talk about "depart auxiliaire" could also refer to the auxiliary sends , since there is a particularity about the sends with this unit ,

english line in the manual : Mono sum output for zone feed or light effects

so you got two sends stereo and a combinated mono . witch could count as the "symetrie flottante" since you can use a single mono from the stereo out send, the complete stereo out send or the combinated mono send, witch has combination of left and right in the mono cable. witch imo is about this.

plus all that gizz about the grounds loops cable workaround could be meant in there but

but they really went retard compressing these two stats in one, so nobody will ever know.

i suggest downloading the manual off the alen & heat , IN ENGLISH , since none of them must talk or write french at all. nyways its all covered in the two pdfs.

having played with a few allen & heat , its quite the bomb , cant go wrong with that. even compared to a pioneer mixer. its really one of these machines that just amazed how for once they didnt cut on r&d and you can really see that the designers of this really were about a product thats there to solve the sound eng. headaches and have them have fun, money aside. i t

True but a lot of dj's prefer the pioneer for 2 reasons, the effects and lots of people don't like to play with 2 mid instead of one. I think once you're used to it it's really the bomb ! And it's built like a tank!

i kinda prefer the pionneer for some other reason , mainy servicing , and its been my fav mixer since 97, plays nice , big knobs , the effects part was really cool till

elen & heat showed up , i recalled it was a mid "q" and a variable mid, not upper and lower hence me liking a lot ben able to shift that resonance, and the reorganisable effects , two side punch filter . but consider the time pionneer was around before it released them dj lines , and how elen & heat just got some really nice top line right on the first mark , i give them lots of credits, and cant wait for what else new they have in store in the future

imo e&h has more to offer in a way , but they are two different concept , in a way making it uncomparable to the technologically compassionnate at hart.

imo two brands & model lines are blessings in this hellish world. i think they are on the same frontline. esp compared to say , a gemini or some shitty knob low lifespawn vestax .

ya I wanted to take that 1200 Melo, but then I realized I leave for the U.K. on the 25th. so I can't really afford the time or money to go to MTL to get it - I should just stay put and save for my trip. sorry about that!

Pioneer is good. I have an ancient Pioneer DJM-600. I got it in summer 2000 brand new from Long & McQuade, so I've had it almost as long as I've been DJing. it's a really good mixer when it was young and in its prime. I like using it with my Pioneer CDJ-800, cuz I can trigger samples on the CDJ with the channel 1 fader or the crossfader on the 600.

It held up *really* well, considering the number of parties I've taken it out to and how much use its got. now, it still works, but it's tricky to mix on. the effects still work fine, but all 4 channel faders and the crossfader need to be replaced, as well as the headphone jack. I'm getting crackle crackle sounds on channels 1, 2 and 4 when I move them slowly, so to avoid that I have to slam them fast all the way up. Cutterhead if I was in MTL, I would definitely bring it to you to have you look at it. I know you of all people would have it fixed in no time =)

so now I'm saving for this baby right here ->
