I know. What I'm saying exactly is that if you look past the fact that it's getting "mainstream" and focus on the positive elements, you can still enjoy your party. I love small parties and more intimate settings with fewer but more select people, but those small parties don't have the mean to build huge deco/art/installations and bring tons of diverse music/headliners.

Shambhala's great even if it's getting more mainstream. But I've seen it already so if I gotta have a big party this year it's gonna be BM.

Also, there is tons of other interesting festivals in Canada and in the US.
I'm feeling the farce right now..

I went to Shambhala last year and had one hell of a blast! I can't tell if it was more mainstream or different from the other years cauz' I did'nt go. Sure there was some mainstream music, but with 6 stages, I don't complain. You don't like the beat from the Pagoda, just go to the Village or the other 4 stages. It's big enough and there is so much diversity that everybody can find something that they'll like. There was event a Ska band at the Rock Pit saturday night!
After 10 years of Shambhaling, it's normal that the vibe changes, as the crowd!
So whatever you heard about the reviews, I can tell you that it was one hell of a party and that I had alot of fun with people I met over there! It's like entering in another dimension...so much different from reality!
I'm feeling womenized right now..
