Monkland village is a little expensive but nice. Usually heating is included which is also nice.

Not at all! I've visited a bunch of 4-5 and a halfs that were between 700-950 everything inc and had moldings, ceiling medallions, fireplaces, huge rooms, etc. I don't call that price range expensive...

It's a nice area, I grew up there. But 3.5's in the Monkland Village go for 6-700$ it's just a fact. I live in verdun and my 5.5 is 645 which is expeze for verdun. Imagine what Monkland is like now compared to that? Times are a changing. You found some crazy deals there Joey cause I've never seen that on Monkland ever. Maybe Girouard or some shit but not Monkland. I'll agree that the quality of the brownstones are much nicer, molded walls ceilings and fireplaces galore. But they've taken advantage of that market years ago. Time to check those prices again I think ;)

You mean we had to move that heavy-ass plaster fireplace for NOTHING, there could've been one in your apt already?

I said NEAR Monkland, not ON Monkland!! I visited flats a few blocks down and they were all just as cheap! I saw a huuuge one near Décarie and it was a 4 and a half for 765 ev inc, with a fireplace and it looked amazing. U just have to walk around, look for rent ads and call them right away. Usually dont stay available too long... Verdun is not convenient tho, you cant walk anywhere... I can walk to the Plateau from my place

Very funny Jo -> thanks for helping us move it :) But I was referring to the other apts I visited b4, I WANTED MY FIREPLACE AND MY FLAT DIDNT HAVE ONE!! OK! hahaha
