i dunno...
i'd be pretty skeptical about buying the first version.
looks like a pretty cheap build by a company that doesn't have much of a reputation for hardware.
those platters look really cheap and there seems to be a serious lack of info online about them and their sensitivity (do they have two points of sensitivity? or just one?).
the numark NS7FX (now available at futurshop wtf??) honestly looks like a much better build than this thing.
It also doesn't appear to have a mic input.
is the mixer even real or is it a controller with a software emulator???
what are the inputs in the back for???
are they actual inputs? or are do you still have to wire it up the same way you wire tractor?
both have their advantages and disadvantages...
but it would be nice if the company would state some real specs and a better demonstration of the hardware rather than focusing the demo on the software.
the numbers don't add up either...
when companys offer that many features on a product for such a low price...
unfortunately it usually means they are cheaping out somewhere.
and despite my negative opinions...
not having used it, i can't say it's a bad product...
but i'd be very very skeptical about dropping 1000 of my hard earned dollars on this thing.
my advice is to wait till it comes out, and try it for yourself and see how you like it first.
or even better... wait till V2 comes out and all the kinks get worked out based on what the users think.
untill i hear ppl screaming off the roof about how great this thing is...
it's just another potential failure of a product with big claims to "change the DJ world forever"

my 2 cents.

here's a bunch of similar units that never really caught on in the clubs...
some of em are actually pretty cool.

george,
its an acctual mixer, all you have to plug in is one usb cable and your main output. you have two extra inputs that are for extra cds or tts, there is a mic in...

its basically traktor's answer to ns7... but for half the price

I'm still waiting for these things to have screens built into them... (like my numark d2 director thing kinda)

I love controllers, and serato, traktor etc, but to lug that around all the time, and spend 20 minutes setting it up, and have to bring your laptop around with you and blah blah blah...

I can't see laptops sticking around forever in djing... it's just unpractical.

every club/rave/party should just have the new cdj's that allow you to plug in your memory cards/usb cards, or bring cds.

thats it, thats all.

( in the meantime, i will just play on melo's new toy when it comes in )
I'm feeling like a sketchbook! right now..

Hey , if you are wize enought, traktor is plugged in 2 min. ;)

ANd yeah! party At my house when i'll receive it.

FOr Georges. If i don't like it, I'll sell it no big deal. And money is far from a problem lately for me ! So i guess instead of spending this money for booze it's a good investment haha ;) I like it because it's simple and user friendly, and since i luv traktor , this is for me! Guy at moog tried it and said it was by far one of the best controller he tried and the jogwheel works perfectly. But That Xone 40 you posted looks really awesome too ! Allen & Heat rocks.

All you have to do with this thing is take the audio out and plug it into any of the inputs of the mixer where you're playing. Anyone who is unable to do this should not be allowed to mix anywhere.

It's definetly quicker to set-up than the other box that the regular Traktor setup uses.

I gree though with Dialect that all clubs and events should have CDJs with USB ports. That would just make everyone's life so much easier. It's coming. :)
I'm feeling yay right now..
