Surviving Bal En Blanc

Hey guys,
Yes, it's another Bal en Blanc thread! Please don't hate :P I'm just getting into the scene here in Montreal, and Bal en Blanc is totally not my scene. Nevertheless, a friend of mine got me a ticket, so I'm going. However, the vibe I'm getting from this party is way different than the events I've attended so far. So I need your seasoned advice. I've read a lot of threads talking about BeB used to be better "back in the day," which means that at least some of you have some experience with it. I'm looking for survival tips; how do I deal with the line up/ what essentials should I bring/ etc etc. Basically, if you have any ideas on helping me get through this night alive, intact and with a sense of humour, I'd welcome your advice! |

- Go SUPER early to avoid a 2 hour lineup...
- Bring ear plugs because there will be a lot of sound. - Go with friends. - Create a meeting point so if you get lost you know to meet up every 30 minutes on the dot at a certain place. - Don't bring anything, they won't let you in with your own water, drinks, glow sticks, or anything else they sell there for 10x what it should cost. Because of this you should bring a lot of money with you.
I'm feeling nuclear right now.. |

To help you prepare: Watch Jersey Shore
To help you deal with the line-up: Do lots of drugs. If your gonna do E, I think most people on this board would recommend either purple dolphins or orange stars for beb.
I'm feeling a message in a bottl right now.. |

The best way to survive bal en blanc is to not go.
Step two is finding yourself a new friend. A free ticket to bal en blanc is still a ticket to bal en blanc; it's like finding a razor blade on the ground and saying "Hey, check it out, free razor blade! I've never been suicidal, but I should totally cut my wrists with it! It's FREE!"

But the point is, she's asking what to expect. If she's fine with that or even used to the anti-terrorist treatment, kool. Just giving a heads up :) The only reason I went to BeB was for GRIP, and they made sure I wouldn't ever want to set foot in there again.

So I'm guessing I should keep my expectations low and my earplugs in...
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm guessing BeB isn't too popular on this board? What's the deal? |
