true. but that's not unique to Toronto. unfortunately that happens all over. same thing in Hamilton this summer. the geniuses on city council voted in favour of a huge expressway right through a natural drainage system. very ecologically sensitive, and not to mention it was also an Indian burial ground, which is never good to mess with.

sure enough, this summer some homes in the area got literally destroyed by flood waters. some people got over 10 feet of water hitting them, and the foundation just caved under the pressure. all because the streams and soil and plants that would have absorbed the heavy rains have been paved over. stupid

some Mohawk elder wrote the newspaper. He claimed the floods were the revenge of angry spirits from the burial ground. which I thought was cool =) I'd certainly like to think so.

this is how the expressway looked last month after the storm

This is what the elders warned of... floods, tornados, earthquakes, and hurricanes.

THE END IS NIGH!
I'm feeling mighty frisky right now..

here's a Q.

You need to build a fortified ranch for end of the world scenario.
Where would you buy the land? Northern Quebec or Northern Ontario?
basically which province will likely take their time to go crazy and crumble.

Northern quebec totally.. ok, the conditions are gonna be shitty as fuck what with being up north.. but you're gonna be a lot further from population than in Ontario..
