only watched the first video and the only thing i can think of is that she is pretty lucky to still have a family (husband+sons) it is a really sad story and even if I feel bad for her i find her so damn fucking selfish i remember now why i never watched show like this |

 Coolness: 93240 | ya intervention is a pretty intense show, mixed bag of feelings, a lot of the addicts you can easily get upset at, but addiction is never easy to understand, I think the hardest part of watching that show is how the family falls appart trying to fix their member that is suffering from an addiction and the lengths they will go to for that person...
uFot-myranda was also an addict, she said at her peak, her coke habbit was costing her about 500$ a day before the bank forclosed on her house... |

 Coolness: 145340 | banning narcotics is an affront on human dignity, it inherently makes the claim that the people who do the banning know what's best for everybody else, (we have never put the question to the people in vote it has always just been 'decided' for us) and in this way it is at it's heart totalitarian, anytime someone says they know what's better for you than you yourself do, watch out!
If you are of the opinion that drugs should be ileagal you are in the same camp as people who think abortion should be ileagal and who think homosexuality should also be ileagal. Your body belongs to YOU, not the state and not society, this is a fundemental aspects about individual human rights that many people fail to grasp. You own your body, your labour and your possesions anything that attempts to legislate about these things is in the spirit of slavery I don't want to hear about addiction as a reason for banning drugs what happened to personal responsibility for your actions. |

it's easy now for the gov. to threat(not help) some sick addicts in a certain way when they are pariah in our collective moral and values.. a lot of people in jail (1 adult out of 100 in usa!) should be in rehab.. i read a very interesting article today about research on addiction : [ www.cnn.com ] |

 Coolness: 93635 | wow...thats quite a good article. I like the warmer colder approach for sure. The article bugs me a bit though. Like sometimes Im just so focused on what Im doing, I have trouble sitting back and reflecting on the bigger picture. Drugs help me do that. They don't open my mind to new possibilities per se, but help me lay back so I can get the wider angle so I can consider things I never saw before or just never took the time to think about, because I were too focused on just a few things. So really drugs in a way help me to change my life for the better... And drugs remind and let me stop to smell the roses. Life moves by pretty quick... |

Agreed, Peoples dont kill themselves with addictions because the drug is merely accessible. They do it because they are depressed and are escaping an otherwise intolerable existence. Call it self medication, call it a passive suicide but please don't call it a crime. We must stop thinking that legalizing drugs would mean that a tidal wave of extreme drug addiction would sweep across the land. The economy would still a do its thing, the stores would still be open, global warming bla bla bla, but the huge drug supply peoples already take would get so much better, maybe even cheaper (means the junky doesn't have to steal the glasses in your car to get a fix) Most of the peoples that do come into contact with drugs, witch means pretty much everyone at on time or an other, deals with it in a smart and responsible manner. Why should I or any one else run the risk of incarceration for that contact? |

It's funny how society wants to focus on those heavily addicted people who do really extreme things as poster children against said drug when in fact, they are sometimes not even 4% of those who take it regularly. |
