| Coolness: 171940 | Serieusement j'ai toute les console a maison. Le seul je joue vraiment avec c'est le wii! Hier encore je me suis assise, j'ai regarder ma biblio, et j'ai choisit Tales of symphonia 2 :p Le premier de l'an moi et Lyzzie on a jouer une dizaine d'heure a Dokapon Kingdom.
Mais c'est mon genre. Je hais les FPS, et les conneries a la GTA. Je trouve sa affreusement plate. Je me fout complètement des graphiques d'un jeux, tant que le gameplay m'attire. Donc pour moi, c'est une réussite. Je croyais vraiment pas au départ que sa allait être une immersion complete avec la wiimote non plus. Mais j'ai trouver des bijoux d'originalité sur cette console en terme de jeux, que j'ai trouver juste sur le downloadable contente du 360 si on compare aux 2 autre console. Mais la encore, moi j'aime ce type de gaming. C'est pas tout le monde. Ya ben du monde qui aime mieu Halo que Zelda. perso, c'est le contraire. |

| Coolness: 685690 | I think that the Wii has potential.. But in nintendo's aproach at making it a console for "everybody" that didn't relly on insane graphics, they've really limited themselves..
The Wii is really just a re-packaged GameCube with a slightly higher clocked processor (I think the GC was a 533mhz and the Wii is a 733, too lazy to look up the actual specs) and a motion-sensing remote.. Most of the Wii titles look worse than the Xbox (first one, not 360)! And I know, gameplay/story is more important than anything, graphics come second.. But this isn't just a graphics issue; with a weak CPU, you can't have as detailed a game experience.. not as much use of physics, not as many enemies, not as 'smart' an AI.. For example, the Ghostbusters game that's coming out has to be completely changed and 'downgraded' for the Wii, because it can't handle the physics, graphics and AI complexity, let alone the difference in graphics.. They're making an entirely different 'smaller' game for the Wii, because it can't handle a 'complex' game. By not making it a 'real' next-gen console (in terms of processing power), they totally shot themselves in the foot. Ports have to be totally scaled down, not just in terms of graphics, but in terms of the in-game interaction.. The Wii is a great idea for sure, but IMO it's something they rushed out to get the "next-gen" market in a time when consoles were 300-600$ by presenting a "new" console that was 200$ that "anyone" could play.. but really, what's the gameplay in most of the Wii games like? "Something is happening on screen, wave the Wiimote up and down. Something different is happening on screen, wave the Wiimote side to side. Now point at this spot and pull the trigger. Now wave the Wiimote around a little more." It's mostly just simple button-mashing disguised as something new because you're waving around your arms like a spastic.. |

It's the basic of every videogame no? Press button to make stuff happen! It's just now REALLY funny to see someone play for a long time on wii :p because they all put their arm on their knee and wiggle the wiimote just a little :P (hehehe) And what you described earlier about the "downgrade" for the wii, yes you are right. Same thing was happening last console generation for the ps2. and the gamecube. That's why you don't buy the "all console release" games. That I agree with you. Still, by far the console I have spent the most time on since I bought it. I'm not saying it's the best for everyone. But for me it is :) And I have SO much fun playing with my dad (who can not play videogame anymore (he used to love it)) because he got paralyse on his body's right side a couple years ago, and the feeling did not return completely in his hands. Now he can play again, and even kick my ass!!! (hehehe) Maybe it's not a next gen console from your point of view, but they tried something new at least! Apr1zm: Zelda ressemble beaucoup a Ocarina. mais je comprend pas comment vous faite, justement étant donné que parmis vous y'a des gamers quand tu joue des heures a des jeux vidéo, exemple Zelda, criss que t'es tanné de casser ton poignet à droite aux 2 minutes pour frapper avec ton épée!! le feature est cool, mais pas faite pour gamer longtemps. Moi quand je joue au "nintendo" (verbe de jouer à des jeux vidéo, dans mon livre), le moins que je bouge, le mieux que j'aime ça! |
