 Coolness: 76820 | Unsuccessful. Does that mean I haven't sold out? Or perhaps that I have no releases yet? What exactly are you attacking? If I had a release and it was panned by critics you'd have a point. You have a couple of mixes out, and we're panning them.
I for one am taking all the time I need and well, it doesn't really bother me what you think. I will likely never be a financial success. Perhaps this indicates that I'm not being opportunistic enough, i.o.w. not being much of an entrepreneur or capitalist in my approach. Actually that matches my politics. So it's sort of like telling me what I already know. I'm not aiming for success, for me I'm just writing some tracks and staying fairly humble. And you know what, when people I respect start telling me "send it to God Rekkidz, A Klass, Dross:tik, HMCR" then I know how I could get some exposure. So instead of chasing the dream of being Montreal's most popular and egotistical artist I keep my integrity. I could care less if it ever takes me anywhere, because the entire record industry is a nightmare and you just can't expect to get rich from it anymore. Even if that opens me up further than your distended anus, I'm willing to say that that's where I am and I make no pretenses about it. I do nothing to try to make it look like I am successful or popular, and I don't care if some people don't care, because some people do. So yeah, that whole approach you're taking, where's it get you? Nice one trying to garner support by trying to kiss the asses of your foes. You don't fool anyone. |

a dj is not an artist, unless you specialize in scratch or beat juggling or other techniques like that. if you just mix tracks, you are only a dj, that mean someone who plays OTHER peoples music. you understand that when someone comes to see you, they like the tracks you play? not really what skills you might have? (no offence to other dj's that doesnt produce) |
