Coolness: 685710	I have no idea if there's more to the story, I just read the wiki after someone told me about Eli on another board.. But aparently there's a few characters in the book that are missing from the movie, so I'm guessing that there's a bit more to the story than just what the movie shows.. but yeah, I agree that this is the first movie in a long time that's really impressed me. Amazing cinematography, amazing story, nothing stupid or cheezy... And as much as I like the 'typical' goth-fodder that passes for vampire movies (honestly, Anne Rice ruined vampires by making them 'sexy') this was an amazing change of pace from what's normaly done.

Coolness: 266075	Just finished watching it .. I'm pretty partial to horror movies, especially vampire stuff, it somehow always turns into this weird erotic thing that has nothing to do with anything.. I liked this movie though, no cheesiness, no over the top stuff, it was actually almost believable ahah .. That spoiler fred wrote would've really been awesome if it was incorporated in the movie a little better though, the plotline had maaaaaaassive holes in it :\ It was beautiful to watch (loved the effects, and that scene where she walks in unwelcomed is awesome) but only so long as you didn't dig deep for any real storyline.. but then again maybe the whole 'mystery' aspect added something to it, I don't know, I guess the spoiler got me disappointed at the movie for not being more than what it is.. I may just be greedy. I'll get the book, sometime.
