Mdma so far hasn't affected my ability to work certain body parts. Quite the oposite, actually.

Back to the party: Music was great when we got there, Paul did an amazing set, the guy/guys right after.... well... I'm gonna refrain from commenting on their train wrecking... I mean... beat matching skills... And then, when some really good guy came on, there was a whole lot of bacon, and not enough frying pans.

On to IDJ for more phun...

(My pictures will be up shortly.)

I made love at least 30 times while in a mdma peak , never took and will never take viagra...
With the -cocktails full of toxic shit - e's , i hear that thought ....

Seems like that was a police invasion last week-end, sure they do have nothing else to do...
There's not 'nuff murders, rapes, pimps and violent husbands in the city ...
They have to take care of busting the happy people's bubbles...
In the name of Babylon and Mr. Bush's principles .....

They fight the free and happy !! And they'll keep on doing that ..the war is on !!
Sad, really really sad...

Next time make it secret-slick for the idj location ...
But yeah the cops were in around 3 also (not the same cops thought ) at In Da Jungle
For noize complaints ...i think the 1619's adventures are over for a while now...

Gotta choose locations where there's no one to disturb around...but its rough i know ..

Lets stand altogether to create safer-cleaner parties ..
If anyone has ideas of good locations ; djgalaksy@hotmail.com

Much love to all !!!

the popo stopped the showshow
at around 3am
they were really aggressive gettin into the space (physically pushed 2 of us aside)- but then they left
however, they came back around 630 to spoil Gsky set...main possible cause: neighbors who called the 5-0 cuz we didnt let them in for free...
boo to the 1619 william, especially that weak crew who tried to also throw a jam and make some $ off of our crowd...
communicate then we can elevate!

look in the event calander.

And like I said. I agree with paul. The DJ after him tried beatmatching once.

It failed miserably.

So every mix consisted of backspinning the current record and slam-fading to the next one, totally off beat.

Iznogood was there, but the party got busted before his set. I think Paul said it was the guy who threw the party that was "spinning" and making train wrecks.

One should wait to be ready before spinning in public...
When i started at Delerium 3 , 3 years ago, i was really bad at mixes too ...

well, everyone has to start off somehow, and no one starts off perfect or even close to perfect, but this guy either: Never listened to any of his own mixes or: Just started spinning about 2 days before the party.

Seriously man, BAD isn't a word to use for the mix. The styles too, seemed all over the place. Like he got 2 records of every style and wanted to see what was good without ever listening to them ahead of time.

Thats why I was so taken by pauls comment.

Nobody starts off perfect. And I would hate to be the person your talking about, to come read his comment. It just comes off so, full of himself and shallow. Paul, I havent forgotten what you sounded like LESS then a year ago, ALOT of dj's could use some practice.

Kafwin, i am in no way offended by what you said... The 2 or 3 dj's that played after me are probably newbies... I was once a newbie, and i still somewhat consider myself to be one as well, but I never played out, and wouldnt of accepted a promoter's offer to play. Kitch express would of been my first gig and to be honest, even if i didn't actually play, i would of performed better than those guys did last night. They are still new (or maybe were having a bad day - that can affect any dj's ability to play) and probably got booked for other reasons - don't forget this was a tiny party...

As far as the lineup, to by knowledge, it was me, Iznogood, Sickness, Psycho le Punk, Candela (he played and ROCKED - good job steve, and i believe Peter showed up and tagged with Candela for a bit. Other dj's played including those who didnt perform very well. There was also some dood (wearing a red and white soccer jersey in the pics) who played before me, who was mixing off a computer who did a great job.

shouldn't you learn to be at least half-decent at dj'ing before spinning at a party?
