Pola - The Movie

So this movie is about a community of fictional people ? Funny how I could recognize more than 50% in the clips I saw. Whatever fictional name they have onscreen, it's still them visually.
And Noah, I'm sorry but if you decide to make a movie called Version3minus1, don't come and tell me "this title could mean anything", it's clear to everyone the title points to someone specific. Hell, why would Pink_Popo react the way she did and was offered money if "Pola - Pink" doesn't indicate anything ? I'm not bashing Anto's movie, I just think the name of the movie should've never carried one person's name, especially if you're making a movie about an entire community.

But, I mean, SURE we've got someone named Pola who calls herself Pink and goes to/throws raves and DJs...
That's just a coincidence! Pola can mean so many OTHER things that are TOTALLY relevant to the Montreal rave community! [ en.wikipedia.org ] Pola, the Italian name for Pula, the largest city in Istria, Croatia
Italian cruiser Pola, World War II Italian warship Pola, Oriental Mindoro, a municipality in the Philippines Pola River, a river in Russia polA, the bacterial gene encoding DNA polymerase I Principle of least astonishment (in human-computer interaction) Principle of least authority (in computer security) Port of London Authority more often referred to as P.L.A. Pola, Lesser Poland Voivodeship (south Poland) Port of Los Angeles (San Pedro / Los Angeles, California, USA) Any of those are SO much more relevant to our rave scene I don't see how this missunderstanding came about. </sarcasm>

It does not matter if people know the people here... It's fictional.. And a name is a name... Anyways you can hate all you want but I don't see most of you people doing something productive and fun. I'd like to make a movie to someday and I'll make it of whatever I feel. Anyways most movies are based a little on the truth so...

I mean, I don't think the Port of London Authority wear pink uniforms. >:) BTW Noah, just don't name your movie the name of one person. Again, we're not bashing the movie, we're bashing the name of it.

im doing alot of stuff that i find productive and fun
though, it does not involved teenagers who do alot of drugs (i mean, that's all i understand of that Pola movie) but i get your point, alot of people here are complaining instead of doing better if it pleased you, you can call his movie art, and remember that art is different for everybody, some people like and some people don't. It will always be like this

ONly person I see really complaining is Pola, aka The Pink_Popo, aka the person that this fictional character in this movie is not based on, and any similarities to real people either living or dead is purely coincidental.
There is a reason they put that disclaimer at the end of most movies/tv shows wtv what Everyone else is simply stating an opinion

When I en up making a porno it will be based on everyone who has sex... Hopefully people realize this is not based on them and you can use your imaginations and imaging you are the one in the movie... So it will kind of be based on you if you have a good imagination.
I might put something pink in there... Just cause I like pink mini skirts...

Yeah but Noah, it's like doing a porno and naming your main male fictional character something very original like Ron Jeremy.
I'm not sure we'll believe you if you said "well, I like the name Ron cause it sounds real pornish and I added Jeremy because I told a friend of mine I'd add his name in my movie somehwere". LOL. What I'm saying is, I don't think "POLA - PINK" is a mere coincidence. :)

Does not matter... Fact is that he can name his movie whatever he likes. Maybe it's not a coincidence but any resemblance to real life should be ignored...

wait, i thought that this was supposed to be a documentary type deal... ...so it's now a work of fiction, with a story line and all? how do you make a fictional story with people who aren't following a script, or are even aware of the plot?
it's basically a bunch of footage of people saying REAL things, and people being themselves. that's not fiction, imo. i've nothing against a movie project about the scene nor the person putting it together...but as is, it makes no sense. C'est louche... ...but then again, i'm just a skeptic :P And, for the Pola issue, if she wants nothing to do with the film, and if the title "is not" based on her, then i hope that at least there's no footage of her in the movie, and no reference to her either; out of both respect and to prove that the person represented in the title is not Pola. Otherwise, she has good reason to take a stance in the matter... /my half a cent

It is so fictional that 3/4 of the footage seen so far consists of people saying things like "Hi, my name is Hugo, Nemorave on [ Rave.ca ] I like going to raves because... " So am I to assume that Hugo is not his actual first names, nor is his nickname and actual reasons for raving, etc ? So can we safely assume that Pola is the only fictional character in this movie, even though she's clearly not fictional but should be for the purpose of releasing this movie ?
