[ ok...ca ] anyone tell me how this happened?

I was in a semi-dream state...on the brink of sleep for about an hour. My tv was off. This is important.

In my dream i was walking/running around in a sparsely wooded area...like a forest that's a bit swampy in certain areas. On a slope i come across a man and a woman...they look kinda like cavemen....dirty, wearing hides, long matted hair...definately not from this time period...the male threw a piece of log at me....i woke up

So i get up, go to the living room, turn on the tv....and the same forest is on tv, and the same cavemen-like people are walking through it!? It was some show with David Suzuki...on the history of america or something...

OK...so did my brain just become some form of antena? Or was i just seeing the future?

Hmmmmmmmm.....has this ever happened to anyone?? My brain gets great fucking reception, i'll give it that....wonder if i can pick up pay-per-view?

Trippy

the only thing that comes to mind is astral projection. Its also liek deja vu.. u had a dream once and you then act it pout in teh future and remeber that instance then call it deja vu just you exerience was very close together

goes to arguments of illusion which most people cannot accept cuz we all believ in direct realism and not indirect or representative realism

nothing is real but what your mind puts there.

perception of reality, divergent points of view....it's everywhere in everyday life, and it's even more apparent when people are high.

how do we know what reality is?
maybe we're just somebody else's nightmare.

my guess is that something on the program when you turned on the television triggered your memory of your dream..but since memories of dreams are not clear (and hence very malleable) you recalled that your dream was closer to the television program than it actually was

my dream memories are very clear

i don't believe in coincidences

i was just wondering if people thought it was more:

1)picking up the actual signal like the rabbit-eyes on my tv

or

2)seeing what was happening/what would be happening in life while i was asleep, except instead of seeing, i was living it..

I'm thinking more along the lines of #1 because our brains send/receive energy all the time...and what are tv signals,energy...
(i do believe in astral voyaging...etc..but in this case i wasn't watching...i was in the forest)

when we dream, it can be the futur because we can dream up endless posibilities. Meaning if something you dream really happens, its just one of the possibilities.

Usually dreams have meanings. Each thing means something... or sometimes we dream about our day.. or sometimes we can even dream about the furture.. like your dream. These things happen... cool eh?

When you fall asleep Your brain registers information. Its very possible that you saw a comercial for the show or saw that same show months or years ago, and it got interpreted into your dream, then by coincedence when you turned on the t.v. the show was on.

Alot of people think that deja vu is the futur because they've seen it in a dream before or whatever.. well im undecided about that because let say:

I sit in your living room and meet a female friend wearing a red sweater. When I got to sleep that night my brain will register that while sitting in your living room I met one of your female friends wearing a red sweater.

lets say 9 months later Im sitting in your living room again and I meet another one of your female friends wearing a red sweater.. I might not remember the first time I met your other friend wearing a red sweater ect. and get a deja vu feeling. Like i've been here and met this person before but because when the image was being processed the first time it wouldnt become a permanent memory.

but its just an idea.

i agree with saboul...

something to ponder...

3 yrs ago, when living on the other side of the country with J,B,and D..i had a crazy dream one night. When i woke up I knew it was more than just a dream.

It was about me,D,and B on a balcony and were going crazy ,something had happened,we were all REALLY upset......anyways...i woke up and told D about it. She made a comment about the balcony attached to our bedroom at the time....

"nope", i said......"B is our neighbor, not living with us but next door.....and it's in Montreal" (i was very certain of these facts)

I chuckled at the thought..."how could that happen?"....D and I were moving to the rockies, B was going to Ottawa....

Well, this past summer, with B as my neighbor, here in mtl...me,D, and B went through some serious shit...and my balcony was where it happened....

Dreams can tell us about the futur
