i just wrote a 1000 word essay on a silent german film from 1924 in a little under 3 hours! and if that wasn't exciting enough, i just ate an egg roll.

sometimes i think that no matter what happens, no matter who you're with, whether you're happy or sad, when it comes right down to it we are all alone

i think you have that backwards...
i think we're never alone... we think we are. but its just our humanity surfacing... we all feel alone underneath it all, but until we realize we really arent, we always will be

hmmmmmm, i don't know.
in the physical sense i agree that we are not alone, i realize that there are great friendships and intense connections with others, and in that sense we are not alone.
but we are alone inside of ourselves, i think that we need this in order to realize our full individual potentials.

yaddda yadda, i could babble on about this for hours........the funny thing is i agree with you afrokaboozy, i understand what you mean, but i also agree with myself.

bah, what was my point?

to quote my savior, Robert Smith

"No one ever knows or loves another..."

as negative as it sounds, I feel it's true since you're never gonna be able to get into anyone's head, and although someone might say they feel a certain way, you never really know for sure... it's sad but also very true.

yeah... thats true... but I dont like to think that its entirely true, id like to think that some people are different and that you can truly understand another person in complete faith... it burned me twice now, but im not giving up hope...

also, jungle-elf: i didnt understand what you eant at first but i get it now.. its true that we are alone... but like you said i agree with you and myself at the same time

totally, whenever someone says to me "i feel like i really know you" i wonder.....
how could you possibly?
you can only ever know a person as much as they let themselves be known.
and different people can know the same person, but see that person as many different things/personas.

yeah, i get what you mean... i did put all my trust and love in someone once and it ended up biting me in the ass... so until i meet someone who proves me wrong, i'm sticking to the aforementionned attitude.

afrokaboozy: i feel like it's a curse sometimes, i can usually see and completely understand all sides to a discussion. and it's not cuz i'm wishy washy ;)

exactly... people are two-, or even three- or four-faced.. you can't ever know a person completely , but i like to think that you can know a person as well as possible, with doubt... it may sound naive, but i like to think of it as optimstic
