I for one am under the impression that you judge him without demonstrating in anyway how you came to these conclusions...this judgement is, to me and to most people here, worthless (I am not saying what you said is untrue, just that the arguments you gave us do not demonstrate a very elaborate way of thinking). Horus, with the very partial image that we have of you given what you have posted so far “being mediocre requires that you are blind to your own condition” seems to apply to you as much as anyone, you have not proven otherwise to anyone and you are also unable to see the blatant weakness of your argumentation. Someone cannot degrade someone else. I completely agree with you, please stop doing it to yourself Yes and no. It would look very complex if I typed it, so I won't, coz it is kinda simple but it isn't intellectually easy. As a matter of fact, intellect is what keeps people from seeing these things. So you are basically telling everyone that you are smarter than them...that your intellect is superior to their, that is usually sign of a superiority complex and shows no respect for the people you claim you want to liberate from their ways which are in your opinion incorrect. Anyway, I have looked very deep into human nature, sociology, economics, the whole fucking thing. And finally got it. In the end, I understand your minds so thoroughly that I see that you will not go for the fun way so I get you riled up against things, which allows your minds to be steered in the direction that will allow the sprouting within your ranks of people who will break away from the pattern, and in turn help break the hellish pattern in which generations are intertwined, with as a result incalculable cost in suffering, unhappiness and so on. i'm not taking any sides in this but i do want to point out a few things i think are pertinent. -people don't like to admit that someone is more intelligent than they are. It's just the way people are it's hard for them to admit that someone else is smarter, very rarely do people want to say that they are stupid or ignorant or uninformed no matter where they are from (country or city, rich or poor). -it really is mediocre and sub par people who want everyone to be equal, it's hard for them to admit that anyone could be better than them. -we have an expectation that highly intelligent people should be humble about being intelligent if they aren't modest about their intelligence they are assumed to be arrogant pricks...we believe that they shouldn't show any pride in being intelligent, this is absurd. -everyone needs to read more, straight up, stop watching tv get off the internet, not magazines, not newspapers, but BOOKS. and more non fiction. -trash can the bullshit, if you think you re hiding it you re not, everyone can see you don't know what you're saying because you haven't done your homework, nobody is fooled. anyway i will most likely get labeled as a dick and like horus for posting this. |

I can guarantee you that if not you, every guest you invited will be tired and sometimes downright insulted by the incessant knowledge showcasing. It's one thing to read a book, it's another to understand it." i think that we can all agree that reading the books is really the first step. one thing i do actually agree with horus about is the fact that the way you conceptualize reality really makes a big difference to how you make judgments about it, take this as really basic example, the israeli palestinian conflict,(i watched a documentary on it last night so it's on my mind) The israelies call gaza and the west bank 'disputed territories ' where the palestinians (and pretty much everyone else) calls them 'occupied territories' . This obviously makes a big difference. . i do in fact agree with horus that it is huge mistake to think that the way you see the world and the way world 'is' are the same. The so-called pretension to 'true objectivity'. |
