So I just downloaded the acclaimed Mass Effect for PC, which is finally out. It's beautiful and of course the gameplay has blown many a gamer away over the past year or so.

I also love CS:Source (obviously) and the whole Half-Life 2 thing.

What are you guys playing and loving?
I'm feeling p a r t y ! ! ! ! right now..

So much fun, I love the fact that I get vertigo playing this game, while it never affects me normally :)

GTA4. It erodes my brain with the stuff one can do.

As far as "I can play this anytime and not get bored", I'll go for Oblivion.
I'm feeling half-asleep right now..

About Mass Effect... It's a damn good game but the system requirements are crazy. I run an Athlon64 FX60 with 2gb ram and a radeon x1950pro vid card. The video is very nice, and at first I thought my settings were just too high, but turning them down does nothing. Turns out most of the time both cores are maxed out, and my RAM usage goes in the 70% +...

Great sci-fi adventuring but serious horespower needed. I'mma get me Oblivion after playing this one, I feel it will be more playable than this.
I'm feeling p a r t y ! ! ! ! right now..

I just got through On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, and holy FUCK was that ever good.

It's short (since they're going for episodes every few months rather than one monster game that takes forever to develop), I think it took me about 4-5 hours tops to get through it.. But holy fuck I was laughing my ass off the whole way through.

The game system is like one of those old Lucas Arts point-and-click adventures (Maniac Mansion, The Dig, Sam and Max, etc..) with a fight system that's a lot like a simplified Final Fantasy system.

You start the game chasing a giant robot that's crushed your house, run into the guys from the Startling Developments Detective Agency (Gabe and Tyco from the Penny Arcade comics), and end up going after a cult of mimes trying to resurect the ancient god Yog Sethis. (imagine a 100 foot tall mime with an octopus head)

Totally fucking amazing.

I'm feeling the beast right now..

I'm more into consoles, but I haven't gamed in a while..

but I like sims games (especially urbz), tony hawk games (american wasteland is my fave that I've played so far.. been meaning to try out project 8) and uhh.. OOH.... I REALLY liked that game Playboy the Mansion, but I've only played it once. I've got to play that game again some time.
I'm feeling good inc. right now..

The price scares me. At 20$ a pop, with how many episodes? That's too high a price for me, as I'm not that big a Penny-Arcade fan.

0_O; Non.
