People people. Would it be possible to give out info about how " awesome " your internet provider is ?

Like, I dunnom prices, download speed, download limits or worse comes worse, their website.

That would help greatly ! Thanks . :)

Puresexmegs : Rogers Internet IS in Montreal. I have it at home ( yes, I am in Montreal ). Getting it is the hardest part. And yes, it's decent since there isn't too many users here indeed. At least, not in my vicinity.

Ashtraygirl : not too shabby but chances are you don't download much. You probably have Basic or High Speed Internet which will proceed you to charge an insanely huge amount of cash if you exceed their unrealistic download limits : 2G upload/download for Basic and 20G download and 10G upload for High Speed. If anybody here are half as much a PC gamer and music download as I am, you'll bust these limits in 2 weeks. Not only but their Extreme High Speed plan, which was unlimited, isn't even unlimited anymore.

AEI. 5mbps DSL, unlimited downloads, 29,95+tx (39,95 if you don't have a land line).

[ aei.ca ]

Most people diss AEI, but I have to say I've never encountered any problems with 'em. No contract, acceptable DL/UL speeds and no limits. Fun for torrents.
I'm feeling teh peace (^^)y right now..

Btw Masa, your avatar makes you look like you're poking the part of your brain that induces convulsions or something.

Either that the rampant stupidity here in making you numb.

Nah, it's pretty stable. I got scared for a week when Bell announced they'd be throttling their resellers' service, and torrents DID slow to a crawl. Then, for no reason, it got back to normal, and I haven't noticed slowdowns ever since.

I mean, it's not the fastest ISP out there. But I consistently get 450-500 kb/s on torrents (as long as they're somewhat well-seeded), so it suits me. The fact that it's unlimited/not bound by contract is also a plus. I might just be lucky though.

... And regarding my avatar, what's it to you? :)
I actually enjoy poking that area of my brain, cheaper than drugs y'know.

That's not too shabby. Not sure for online gaming though but pretty decent.

As for your avatar, you just look like you're on the verge of passing out. Did you take this pic pissed drunk by any chance ? :)

Heh, I'll post a report from [ dslreports.com ] from my tabletop eventually, results would be skewed by this crappy 11mpbs wireless router.

And yeah, IIRC, it was a mix of beer, vodka, absinthe (the real shit) and pequet (sp?), a cinnamon-flavored specialty from Liège, Belgium, also apparently available in other flavors such as peach; you light it up and drink it through a straw while it's still flaming. In the 20% range, but you'd think it was juice, goes down real well.

Oh and weed, lotsa weed.

What a night. Can't wait for summer to do that again.

Gotta find REAL fucking absinthe. Not that shit SAQ passes as the real thing ( yeah whatever ).

But this IIRC shit sounds delightful ! Where did you get that ( PM me if you need to. Hehehehe ).

Yeah, although I'm not a fan of anise, it does the job right.
And that pequet thing, well, I wasn't the one who brought it back, but I'll make a point of bringing some back next time I visit Belgium.

Gotta love Europe, they know how to get someone drunk in style. Beer, wine, spirits, the works.

Well yeah, "péquet" actually. Don't know 'bout the exact spelling, and it seems it's a Liège-only specialty. Might be a bit dangerous to drink when already drunk, but so much fun, i.e. STILL FLAMING :)

Hey, if only it was that easy, I'd get regular shipments going. I mean, I can think of a few wines I wouldn't mind paying 2-3€ (finally, a use for that € laptop key!) instead of 20-30$... But as soon as you'd declare it as alcohol, you'd end up paying duties at the border, essentially bringing your savings down (if any).

Alright, roomie's pissed cuz I dissed her router. So for the record:

Thanks PaLy, it's actually fun to be able to use my laptop without having a 50' cable running throughout the appartment!

There, happy now? :)
